Kick the event off on Friday by discussing gear and the basics while consuming wine and appetizers. Spend the day Saturday with Pallas Snowboards, Splitboard Education Collective and Voile team rider Cindi Lou Grant for on snow education in the Wasatch. Space is limited, register here.

Who: Beginner + intermediate splitboarders

What: Join Pallas Snowboards and the Splitboard Education Collective as we discuss the basics of splitboarding and share our tips and tricks for efficient backcountry travel.

FRIDAY EVENING (6 – 9 p.m.)
The weekend starts at Wasatch Touring with all the pre-trip essentials: knowing how to use your equipment, how / what to pack, reading weather forecasts, and more. We’ll supply the wine and snacks, you supply the questions.

SATURDAY DAY (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.)
Enjoy a free on-snow clinic led by SEC founder Kelly Robbins and Voile athlete Cindi Lou Grant and put your new skills to use. Improve your kick turns, learn to set a skin track, get faster at splitboard transitions, and analyze terrain features for safe (and fun) routes. This is a fully hands-on workshop, so come dressed for the elements.

Please note: This clinic is not a replacement for a formal avalanche training. While this clinic will be led by an AIARE (American Institude for Avalanche Research and Education) instructor, we will only briefly discuss the topics of an AIARE Level 1 course. For info on where to take a course, visit AIARE’s website.
