For the second year in a row Backcountry Magazine has awarded Venture’s Zelix splitboard with their coveted Editors Choice award. With Venture’s new 2014/2015 proprietary Aspen/Poplar/Ash core saving up to a half pound off of every board, their zero-tolerance for sloppy fit and finish, and the large range of sizing options, it’s no wonder they’re being recognized.

The Zelix will throw-down with any freeride board out there—regular or switch. The new aspen wood core adds a little more playfulness to this burly twin by mellowing it’s torsional flex and shaving a half-pound on average, while poplar and ash stringers down the center create the optimal tip-to-tail flex. An offset stance (setback 20mm), light taper and straight-line rocker keep the versatile Zelix afloat in soft snow, too. (Please note: base colors vary.)

SIZES: 145, 149, 153, 154, 155, 158, 159, 162, 163, 164, 167, 168

Waist Widths: 24, 25, 26, and 27

STRAIGHT-LINE ROCKER – Venture’s entire line features our proprietary Straight-Line Rocker technology. This special formula follows a linear path underfoot, with mellow rise starting just outside the inserts. Ventures offer the best of both worlds—a playful, surfy ride in soft snow, but plenty of control and edge grip when you need it.
