Splitboarder and Freeride World Tour competitorNiklas Hollsten and his wife Nives Hollsten had an amazing season last year and recently shared their season-edit on our Facebook page. The husband-wife duo and their Alaskan husky Shila spent 110 nights in their small camper-car traveling the Alps in search of adventure and powpow.

“We started the trip at end of December in Finland, drove straight to Kroatia for xmas, then spent a couple months in Austria with a few day-trips to Italy and Switzerland. At the end of February we drove to Andorra, Pyrenees for 10 days, the FWQ comp, and splitboarding. Then back to Austria for a couple weeks of more FWQ comps and more splitboarding. At the end of March we drove up to Norway for a month to close out our season.” – Niklas Hollsten

Check out this second video too of their unique Dogsled/Splitboard adventure in Norway where snowmobiles and helicopters are forbidden. Niklas enjoyed the trip so much, he plans to return this spring and work as guide for Beito Husky.

Here’s what Niklas had to say, “We can offer our customers the unique opportunity to get further into Joutenheimen National Park in a shorter amount of time. Instead of skinning into the mountains, we’ll bring them with sled-dogs, make basecamps, and guide them to get the best terrain for their ability.”
