Try cutting cardboard to fit in the windows. Look for double wall closed cell like from a refrigerator packing box. And I found a heater blanket that plugs into the car 12v socket.

Nice, I like all the idea’s here. I’ve been out winter camping a few times. I know keeping things dry equals happiness. I got a lot of great info from “Allen and Mike’s really cool backcountry ski book”. Check it out if you get a chance. For food try cheese, lots of it. Oh and bacon, precook and store in ziplock bag.

+1 for jetboils efficiency and I believe that if your melting snow for water you don’t have to boil it for purification. This saves fuel and time but remember to prime the pot full of snow with a little water first to avoid burt tasting water.

Hey that’s exactly what I was thinking! Here’s my loose plan, drive to Baker SF, shred that zone til Tuesday, then drive to Tahoe, tour there and the Sierra til Saturday, then on to the Rubys for a few days, then Salt Lake and the Wasatch, then Silverton SF. Definitely willing to make adjustments and open to other zones.

Thanks for the feedback. A couple of questions. Is shredgnar the only one that had any boa problem? How do they dry out, can you pull out the liner, the footbed, etc? And any difficulty reassembling?

I wonder what Avy 2 @ Baldy is gonna be like next weekend.

It’ll be like surfing in a swimming pool, or ordering steak at a vegen restaurant.

Give Jeff a hard time for being a lame skier and tell him Mike Melton says hi. 😆

Aberdeen, CA. More 4k lines than you can hit in a season, fishing, camping, low cost housing, 1 store/restaurant/post office.
