Yes sold, crazy timing that you asked. Just shipped it out to someone yesterday after forgetting I even had it listed (elsewhere).
Bump, new price. $200 picked up. No light rails, no touring brackets.
Interesting. I don’t see any reason to try stepon even for lift serve. Maybe when I’m 70 yrs old…
Did we ever decide if hardboots are better than soft boots?
Now that is a question that should generate some posts!
Agreed. Sites like this with forums are so much better than Facebook in many ways. Plus you are supporting splitboarders rather than meta.
Does anyone know if the millisurf and milligram are still being manufactured at the Mothership? I saw somewhere that manufacturing moved to Taiwan. Is anyone in the know? Thanks!November 20, 2019 at 12:17 pm in reply to: FS: Venture Odin Split 164/25, Spark Arc, Ibex Crampons, Pucks, 2 sets of skins #843489
Wrong width/binding size for a friend that I know is looking. Seems like a smoking deal though. Good luck with sale.
I find splitbarding to be way more efficient than snow shoes, especially on any kind of flat or rolling approach.
You should be able to find a used split board in a powder shape for the price of snow shoes and a solid powder board.
Welcome. I’ve never ridden a Jones so can’t comment on that, but I have a Prior Spearhead and it’s great. I’m 5’11” 185lbs and ride the 166. All my solid boards have been over 160 for years, so I personally wouldn’t go shorter. I think if you are in between go a few cms longer. Other options? There are dozens these days. Enjoy..
Thanks for the heads up. What % off are Priors?
Go big. And even better go with something made burly in North America, by a shredder for a shredder.
I’ve never ridden anything but traditional lace boots, and they have been thirtytwo team twos for literally the last 15ish years. They have great ankle hold.
I’ve always been scared of the speed lace type systems (burton), and have seen them break on friends feet many times. Also, just like you said, with speed zones I’ve seen- there are no “laces” over your ankle!!? Wtf!!
Boa might be nice, but at this point for me, I see no reason to go to a boa system. It just seems like something that can break.
I’m actually looking at buying a pair of thirtytwo Primes right now. Cheers!!!
Bought them. Did a few laps this afternoon on a local glade. Really like the bindings so far. Huge upgrade from my old C60s mounted on plates.
Anyone in the market for old C60s or plates??
Well I guess the first thing I notice in the new format is the grayscale coloring. In my opinion it’s just too much gray in the text, boxes, everything. I liked the contrast of the old format better. It was easier to read.
The recent threads thing everyone is talking about isn’t a big deal to me, apparently I didn’t use it.
I used to check in and read things about boards, gear, trip reports on a regular basis. I’d read whatever was going on, because it seemed that quality people posted worthwhile things. I even bought my board from someone in the classifieds.
In my opinion the new format sucks. The new format has turned me off so much that I hardly ever visit the site anymore. I just changed my password to be able to send this post.
The Rome Anthem is a ripper if you are into a full camber board. It’s like a Custom X but actually durable and not way overpriced. Lots of carbon, poppy board.
A couple weeks ago I found last years model brand new on ebay for $299.
I’ve been on them a few years now. They changed the shape a little bit on this years model. Looks a bit wider all the way through… so not sure how it rides. And I’m not sure if I would like how it rides. I thought the old shape and specs were about perfect.January 18, 2014 at 9:27 pm in reply to: GoPro on helmet—Mounting advice and is it worth it? #674434
I have never liked watching point of view footage so have never considered filming any myself.
Burton AK 3L (Goretex Pro Shell).
I have a “Hover” jacket that is a couple years old now that I love. FYI designed and all Goretex Pro Shell.
I got it on a bro form, so I didn’t have to break the bank. But all the top of the line jackets/fabrics seem to be about the same price point.February 12, 2013 at 1:50 pm in reply to: Help me get my boyfriend into splitting for his birthday! #665793
I have a Prior Spearhead 166 I’m thinking about selling. Not sure yet… The price would be $550 plus shipping though (includes skins and hard wear)
