So what the hell have you all been up to? Mtn Rider and I went and road bikes up above Kernville on a ride called the Cannell Plunge and are doing a 4-day camp trip in the Downieville area in a couple weeks. I know PJ and Puff Natie have been surfin and partying in Mexico. JimW’s been in Whistler riding his bike. BCR’s been backpacking with Skyler. What about the rest of you knuckleheads? The more pictures the better. July 21, 2006 at 5:34 am #589759 SanFrantastico 1514 Posts Going to Peru tomorrow… Putting the poo in swimming pool since 1968. I’m going with my wife and 12 friends. I haven’t really had time to read up or anything, so I guess I’m going freestyle. I hope it’s a good surprise. I’m leaving six hours from now… Putting the poo in swimming pool since 1968. If there’s one thing that drives me crazy it’s not being able to blow off steam outside-whether it’s a run, bike ride, whatever. It’s been to freakin hot to swim. I’ve been so disgruntled of late that my wife’s making head to the mountains for a mtb ride tomorrow. 😀 @patroller420 wrote: Oh , also got this sweet avatar posted with a little help from my friends I didn’t know you ride horses 😕 July 21, 2006 at 3:17 pm #589766 mtnrider 740 Posts Shed building, making metal and plastic chips fly at work. Checked out a snowboard factory down south. A tad of mtn bike riding with a nice little crash last night. JimW went to Whistler ❓ Sounds sick. Itching to split and go boondockin’ July 21, 2006 at 3:47 pm #589767 TEX 2486 Posts Eco, dude I dont ride horses, Thats Glen Cambell…aka Rhinestone Cowboy. But on a side note Joan Embry lives near me. You know the lady that used to bring all the animals onto the Tonight show way back when Johhny Carson was the host. Seems Joan has a few horses on her property. Last year they caught some cowboy trying to have sex with one of her horses. He went to court , got slapped on the wrist yada yada. A few months pass and they catch the guy again . This time his lawyer tells the judge the guy LOVES that horse. The judge tells the lawyer thats its obvious the man loves horses because of the compromising position he was caught in. So this guys lawyer explains to the judge, he doesnt love all horses, he is in love with that horse. I see this on the news and my little pea sized brain starts working and I should capitalize on the situation. I wanted to make t-shirts saying” LAKESIDE HORSE LOVERS ASSOCIATION” ( Lakeside is the town where the crime took place) . Only my t-shirts would have a cowboy standing on a stump with his pants down getting some horse action. Anyone want to order one? Nat and I just got back from Sayulita, Mexico. Surf, sun, margaritas by the pool. 8) Doing some yard work, hopefully surf a little, sk8, see some music. Getting into rock climbing (more gear to buy 😛 ). Gotta get a mtn bike. We’re going to the Olympics in August. Drive up the Oregon coast, hit some of the killer skateparks, maybe climb Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Olympus, backpack, hike, kayak, fish, maybe rock climb, sightsee. Yo, Dahl, snoslut, and PNW crew. It would be cool to hook up and climb Helens or backpack in the Oly’s or meet for drinks (maybe not a good idea with snoslut 😀 ). Not bringing the boards though. July 21, 2006 at 9:30 pm #589776 Killclimbz 1165 Posts The book looks sweet. Congrats! Myself, I have been rockclimbing a bunch. I spent a week in Ten Sleep Canyon sporting it up on all the new routes my friends have put up this year. I think they are going to push that canyon to over 500 routes by the end of the summer. Way to go guys! I have some pics, but I keep forgetting to charge the battery for my camera to download them. This weekend hopefully. Looking forward to the snow flying again this October… July 21, 2006 at 9:31 pm #589777 jcocci 699 Posts Hiking the Ptarmigan Traverse in a couple of weeks. Anyone done this before?
