Yes, me again. No need to respond, it seems no one ever does. Mumbles has a light work schedule Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday next week. Anyone got some free time to spend with a loser like me? Tues and Fri are absolutely clear as of now. Wed night I have a presentation to do at 7pm so I have to be off the hill in time to drive home.

I’m also planning on riding my sold at Baker with an old friend or two on the 21st and wouldn’t mind meeting some of the W-WA mystery boarders. I shower, brush my teeth and generally have good manners. I’m ready to stop buying these darn lift tickets.

At the moment I have Tuesday off, but I may switch it to Wednesday as the weather looks like its going to be sunny on Wednesday. Might be up for something depending on weather and conditions.

I’m just a snow rider new to splitting who considres himself safe and a good decision maker. I intend to come home to my two daughers and wife at the end of every day. That philosophy served me well for 20 years in the Navy and continues to do so now. Basic medical, security and law enforcement experience and my current emergency preparedness coordinator jobs have me well versed in making a safe plan and taking many contingencies into consideration. When you are solo you have less contingencies and less flexibility. I would rather tag along with some of the seemingly top notch riders who know much about W-WA than stumble my way through it alone. Let me know when and where or tell me to buzz off. I’m not thin skinned, lets ride or not. I don’t want to spoil anyone’s stoke.

Still no plan for me for this week yet. Going to wait to see what the weather does. Looks like I”ll be taking Wednesday off rather than tomorrow at this point though.

jcocci, thanks for the update. I likely will ride inbounds tomorrow or pass until Friday. The evening meetings that I have for wednesday may make getting to ride and back too tight a schedule.

I guess I will likely hit Crystal since it is the closest, looks like more of the current snow is pelting pretty hard but further north. I’ll watch the weather and make a game time decision I guess. Good chance to ride my new soft boots and strap bindings (moving away from the burton step ins) while riding solo on and between the groomers.

Did you head up today Mumbles?

jcocci, I did hit crystal today. The day was pretty nice. There was a bit of fresh, they said 7″, I would say more like 4″. The skys were favorable, clear and bright there, but it looked like a mess further north.

I was on a self imposed tight time schedule, so I was there before the lifts were running and I rode through lunch so that I could be back early. I got a good break in day for my new dual boa soft boots and strap in bindings.

Riding solo has some appeal to me, but today it sucked being alone.

I have a community presentation on Bainbridge Island at 7pm Wednesday evening. I need to be on the island no later than 6 or so to get my stuff set for the delivery of the presentation…as the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator I have to make sure these folks have my time to get their home and neighborhood programs dialed in.

    What are you thinking about?

Something is wrong with the forum, I’m getting wicked error codes. If you guys are hooking up and I can keep my @$$ out of hot water by being back on time, count me in. If only one of you is going out, so long as I can make it there and back ontime (with reasonable planning) then I’m in. If the PM link does not work here, eacall@comcast.net

    JCOCCI and MC1212:
After scrambling to find each of your plans I packed my truck with both split gear and solid board gear and was hopeful to meet up for a ride. One of my daughers woke up sick at about 4am and my plans changed to daddy daycare for family care and comfort day. Although my much anticipated hook up with one of our fourm members was close, it will have to wait until another time. I hope you both had a good outing.

I think I may be hooking up with Chronicles of Gnarnia on Friday at Hurricane Ridge, he and I have hit that area before and his tele buddies showed him some other areas with some great terrain.

Let me know what your plans might include for next week. If a mid week trip is good for your schedules I might be able to fit into mine.
