They no longer have an online store on their website. Wondering if it’s something temporary or if they are no longer selling direct. I’ve tried calling them a few times but haven’t been able to reach anyone. Go that way really fast. If something gets in your way, turn. Keeping my fingers crossed. Go that way really fast. If something gets in your way, turn. Klem and Lisa seem to have a pretty good grip on where their business comes from and how to manage it. August 19, 2015 at 3:03 pm #783278 Taylor 796 PostsYeah, I find that very hard to believe also — especially as they invest in things like repping trade shows in Europe.@sun_rocket August 20, 2015 at 7:55 am #783288 powhound84 92 PostsI was wondering if the online store being taken down has something to do with REI and Backcountry carrying their boards now. Maybe they made some sort of agreement to stop selling direct? Really hoping thats not it and it’s just temporary because their deals on previous models were awesome. Go that way really fast. If something gets in your way, turn. Bummed. Great company and great people, hope they can make a comeback. From their FB page:“Venture Supporters,Venture Snowboards has encountered some challenging terrain in recent months. Circumstances beyond our control have forced us to make a tough decision. We will not be delivering any boards to market for the 2015-16 winter season. To our friends, colleagues, collaborators and all you Venture riders and supporters, we are deeply sorry. We sincerely apologize for any impacts this may have on you or your business. To our staff who stuck by us through thick and thin—you are the heart of Venture. So many people had the best days of their lives on boards we built by hand. That is something to be proud of, something no one can take away.Trust us when we say we did everything possible to make it work. Venture has been a labor of love for us for more than 16 years. We did it for you, for ourselves, and for snowboarding. We can’t project what will happen beyond 2015-16. In the meantime, we hope you’ll support the other craft manufacturers out there who love snowboarding as much as we do.This isn’t goodbye. See you soon.Klem and Lisa Branner Venture Snowboards” September 3, 2015 at 9:11 am #783454 Killclimbz 1165 PostsYep, they are nothing but a class act. So bummed to hear this. Crossing my fingers that Klem and Lisa come out for the better at the end of this. September 3, 2015 at 11:35 am #783455 powhound84 92 PostsWow this is really crushing. Had my heart set on a Storm split for my next board. I’m going to go cry and drink myself to sleep now. Go that way really fast. If something gets in your way, turn. What sad, sad news. Venture’s dedication to splitboarding, to unparalleled quality, and to green sourcing has for years set the standard.Since they hands down make the best constructed boards, their closure, if it sticks, will lower the industry standard for board quality. That’s bad news for everyone except industry corner cutters. They are the very last company in the industry I’d want to hear this news from. I’m glad to have two Ventures in my quiver, and I will be first in line for a third should they choose to make a comeback. For now, I hope Klem and Lisa take some time to enjoy some abundant deep pow.@sun_rocket September 7, 2015 at 9:30 pm #783513 bcall8 125 PostsI was sooo looking forward to buying a Zelix this year. 🙁 September 8, 2015 at 7:47 am #783522 HansGLudwig 601 PostsWell frak.
