I’m setting up the puck system on my brand new K2 panoramic. However, when I tighten the Voile pucks all the way it doesn’t seem to hold the pucks in place. They still move left-to-right or up-down (depending on which puck it is). I’m assuming this isn’t normal? Or is that designed and I’m just missing something? It worries me that those are moving around with i’m going to be riding. December 15, 2013 at 7:29 am #673293 philip.ak 679 PostsDo you have the rubber gaskets underneath them? December 15, 2013 at 2:46 pm #673294 Chair2BoardSports 62 PostsEven without the rubber gaskets the bolts should snug the pucks down though.I would just get some shorter screws, the panoramics I have worked with have always been pretty thin December 15, 2013 at 6:52 pm #673295 splitty1228 4 PostsYeah, I’ve got the rubber gaskets on. The screws are as tight as they can go, yet the pucks still move.Smaller screws is probably what I’ll have to do. Was hoping I was missing something and there was an easier way. Thanks guys. I tried washers and shorter screws, but didn’t really comfortable with either of them — then I noticed the yellow gunk on the end of the screws that came with the Voile pucks (LocTite maybe?)I took a wire brush and removed most of the gunk. I’m nearly certain that was prohibiting the screws from screwing in all the way. After that I have a completely bomber, solid hold. Problem fixed. December 18, 2013 at 6:12 am #673298 philip.ak 679 PostsYou definitely want some thread lock on your screws. After riding a day or two and deciding on your stance, remove the screws, one at a time, and apply blue Loctite to the threads, or your pucks will move for real, and when you least appreciate it. February 11, 2014 at 8:35 pm #673300 Osmo 1 PostsI just encountered the same problem with my Voile pucks. The pucks would not mount tightly. No matter how much I torqued the screws, I could still easily slide and rotate the toe-side pucks by hand.I followed splitty1228’s advice and painstakingly brushed off most of the yellow thread lock on the mounting screws. This allowed the screws to seat further into the board than the would before. That did the trick and my pucks are now solid. Thanks!
