Two days home from Coloradbro and back on the road again in search of some fresh snow. Even the resorts were paranoid and didn’t open much. Scrub right around the corner.I’ll tell you this much, no way in hell I’d be out touring with more than 3-4 people total in conditions like we had. I stayed in-bounds all weekend, no one I tour with (myself included) wanted any part of the BC. I’m still pretty new to Wasangelas and am still learning all the nooks and crannies, and then it’s an entirely new game learning which nooks and crannies are safe in conditions like we just had.Super stoked for you getting the VIP treatment. First time I met him was about 8 years ago I was out on my home split touring solo and ran into him in white pine, he took a look at my ride and said “whaddya call that contraption?” and then grunted.Anyone read the New Yorker article a couple years back about A Maclean and the Wasatch BC where BA is mentioned in the author’s description of Andrew’s wedding? good stuff. January 8, 2008 at 7:27 am #601591 vtbackcountry 440 Postsnice wysplit. glad you got the goods, your timing was great.it’s cool you got out w/ DJ and MC of the voile crew along w/ the wizzard BA. your bcc to millcreek tour and out wilson is a good one. we ran into BA my first time out there almost 8 years ago and tagged along. i just remember him standing there, way up on the skin track in big h2o, looking down at us, smoking a cig. classic…i also ran into who i think was farmer john for the first time just last week in upper bcc, although he wasn’t admitting it freely when we said hey. i think karma may have spoke of him in the past, a skier, maybe on ttips. anyway, i punched out about 40 tight turns across from the aspect he was farming and he got all excited and talkative when i got to the bottom. said he was psyched a snowboarder actually stacked em up. i said yeah, sometimes i guess. i kinda knew it was him so i had to comply. i should’ve taken a picture but it was something like -3 degrees that mornin.you still got that pic of his tracks karma??
