I’m a prospector / ‘geological field technician’. It’s the shit.

I get to work in some pretty rad places:

    Stream sampling:

    Prospecting:

    Lots of heli work:

    Slinging in a radio repeater:

I even get to shred after work:

    Pretty sweet gig.

Damn Andrew, sweet gig  Pretty sure I saw Ray on the discovery channel 😆

I work in online retail, it pays the bills and allows for ample time off. In the winter I like to telecommute from the East Side 😉 I hope to align my day job more closely with my passions and interests one day…

Just a glimpse of what goes on at a ski resort in the summer.
This is a usual tower rebuild for us, sorry no shots of actually lowering any equipment.

    The winch.

The real work goes on up there.

    The “little” grove.

    Our forklift.

A view from the driver seat.

A combo of residual snowpack (photo is from October), glacial melt and runoff from heavy fall rains.

New pic from work. It was left standing for the generations to follow. However, We did use it as a tail hold

Finter tip to finger tip is 6′, couple hundred feet all, where its broke off is probly still around 6′. So at one point, befor the hurricane a few hundred years ago, this tree was probably 350-400′ tall……
