Not to rain on the parade Jules but that forecast is for Mt Baker itself, not the ski area. The ski area is still supposed to get dumped in the next few days. Lets just hope that it doesn’t warm up next week like it says its going to. Anything can happen at Baker this time of year.

ahhh….thanks for the clarification – what elevation is the resort at?

i can’t find a stupid address for the life of me on the mt.baker resort website

    EDIT: nevermind – wikipedia says ~4,000 – 5,000 ft.

Just in case you guys haven’t spent enough money yet, I’ve set up a cafe press shop with some t-shirts and souvies. Actually my wife set up the goodies but I’ll take credit when she’s not around 🙂

There’s a link on the splitfest website or you can go there directly: http://www.cafepress.com/Splitfest

ugh, so I’m afraid i’m not going to make it to the splitboard festival. I did pay for my spot though so if there is anybody who wants to take my spot, it’s discounted 50% off! ($35)

So, I just found out about this festival. Mt Baker is 40 minutes from my house, that should show how much I pay attention :). i just took an out of town job, tho, so i’m wondering if I can pay for any of the seminars on the day they happen? I expect to be home thursday night, but i won’t know for sure til I’m on my way home.

    thanks…

If you wait until the day of to sign up and pay, you’re taking the chance that these activities will be canceled. There are only a couple of people in each of these activities so these programs are in danger of being canceled right now. It will be the decision of the person running the activity as to whether or not they will take cash the day of because there’s no way of accepting credit cards while up there. There’s no wifi so computers are usless.

Seeing as it is supposed to dump on sunday and Monday, I’m hoping it comes in super wet, then cools way the heck down and turns into bluebird stable godliness…… BUUUUUT, its supposed to warm up…… Even if avi danger is super high, there are still safe areas to ride up there.

Hey, To everyone that is signed up and going: Does anyone have any food alergies or a vegitarian? The lodge need to know.

If you still need to buy a spot at the lodge you can ge it here: http://www.mountaineers.org/source/aTrips/Tripselection.cfm?co=lo_ba&ss=yes#marker

We are going to be holding the raffle on Saturday after dinner so if you’re not staying at the lodge you’ll have to hang out somewhere while we’re eating. Hopefully we can do this early enough and you can hang out at the My Baker ski lodge bar or if it’s nice outside someone can start a campfire. We need to do it this way because some of our people need to help prepare the meal and it won’t be fair for them to miss the raffle.

Following the raffle there will be a movie shown, not sure what we’ll be showing yet but it won’t be “Hot Tub Time Machine”!

Hey gang…I’m not gonna be able to make it for this due to my slow recovery from injury…and I know it’s too late to resell my ticket…but could you guys donate it to a worthy splitter who might want to attend but doesn’t have the funds? I paid for the full package.

Drop me a PM if you need me to do anything.

    Markus,

I’m “officially” and “publicly” giving my entry to you. I just offered to tour w/you in June on Sat. fwiw, but this would be way more fun for ya.

I’ll PM you w/ my number in case anyone needs to call me etc…

Thanks for the generous offer JBay, but I think the cost of last-minute airfare has sunk this ship.

You cats enjoy the festivus, looks like you might get some freshies
