Though the picture says rocker, it comes traditionally cambered; rocker upon request.Last year’s (or the year before that) gear thread had a link to a european splitboard magazine (Splitboard Mag?) which had a run down of all the manufacturers who made a split. . . and I mean all: the big names, American & Canadian start ups, and all these EU and Japanese companies I had never heard of. Anyway the thing I was blown away by was even though it seemed like “the year of the cam-rock/banana” thing—and none of the major manufacturers (Jones’ Hovercraft & Prior’s BC exempted) offered an S-rocker (Rocker in front-Camber in rear)—there were loads of EU brands I’d never heard of and that’s all they had. I’m sure there were traditionally cambered boards there, but I don’t remember them (b/c I wasn’t in the market for one). Come to think of it, it was the year before Burton’s Landlord and K2’s Ultrasplit were unveiled with “the channel” for splittys.Be sure to bookmark Splitboard.com's Recent Activity page... http://splitboard.com/activity-2/ February 13, 2015 at 12:29 am #780391 pablo 10 PostsYes, I think here in Europe riders prefer the traditional camber shapes, because of the more variable conditions in our mountains. Most of the European brands use mainly camber for their boards. The Odin? Hopefully it will be significantly lighter and not just carbon for stiffness. But being that it is a venture I’m sure it will have less slop. February 15, 2015 at 10:30 pm #780487 pablo 10 PostsThe Black Magic has the shape of the new Zelix. It’s actually quite soft for a carbon board, and yes – it’s significantly lighter than the Zelix. The board looked pretty nice. That being said, i really like the lightweight for touring but… kind of wish it had the durability of a venture!! Only issue i see is the topsheet color. I love the carbon look of the blackmagic and the ultracraft, but such a dark topsheet doesnt shed snow too well. Ive never scarped my topsheet as much as i have with my ultracraft! We need a white version for Colorado 🙂 stoked to see the weight being cut down by venture. Now can i get next yrs euphoria in carbon with a white topsheet with a little swallow tail in there?? AT least i can always dream 🙂 February 23, 2015 at 11:16 pm #780657 Cbalke 237 PostsPrior’s Topsheet Graphic Options For Next Season Prior’s Base Graphic Options For Next Season February 25, 2015 at 12:44 pm #780698 maniacdave 564 PostsCbalke wrote:G3 Scapegoat Carbon 158,166,174 weighing in at 5lb 13oz Got to fondle the 166 Scapegoat last weekend at Coldsmoke.
