I was initially looking at Camp XLC Nanotechs, but I think the Techpons might just be enough and pack supersmall. Personally, I’m not sure the gains in packability and weight are worth loosing French crampon technique, traversing and descending facing downhill with the tried-and-true design. Seems more like a SkiMo/WeightWeenie thing. YMMV.Be sure to bookmark Splitboard.com's Recent Activity page... http://splitboard.com/activity-2/ January 14, 2015 at 9:43 pm #778286 Jason4 443 PostsI love gear and looked at these with desire but I can’t justify them over my aluminum 12 point CAMPs for minor weight savings. The biggest benefit is the pack volume saved but as said, they’re only good for front pointing. Viewing 3 posts - 1 through 3 (of 3 total)You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
