Well with few inches of snow here in my yard in the salt lake valley it feels like the end of summer/fall. I know we will get a few more fall days this month, but this is the beginning of the end. Time to switch gears. Summer/fall 2011 you were short but good.

    Went on one backpacking trip

Made it up to the Tetons

    Leaves in Utah

After watching Snurfer do the Speedgoat 50k I got inspired to trail run and in August I signed up the Goblin Valley Ultra 25k. The event took place on Oct. 29. We had wonderful fall weather in the Utah desert. It was an amazing place to run but god damn I thought I was going to die. Props to Snurfer for running the 50k.

I Capitalized on the mild fall weather this past week and spent a lot of time dinking around with Tenkara rods. Sometimes it paid off.

Many of these places are now blanketed in snow and on one hand that makes me really sad, but on the other that makes me really happy. Summer and Fall are amazing in the mountains, but winter is the only time you can leave a personal mark on the mountain. Heres to a lot of deep soft blank canvases! :drinks:

Great recap… Short and sweet with the written words, but with the photos, you said a mouthful. No quick snapshots there… Love’m…
