    I really like this board a lot for pow and would really like to make a splitboard out of it. However, I’m a little apprehensive about splitting it as the end result may not feel anything like the initial board. How much will the splitted version be like the original?

    The splitted version will have a big cut down the middle. 😉 😛

    Not too pertinent, but how do you like that board?

    I have heard it’s pretty soft, which makes me think i’d really like it. I guess that would be my only concern with choppin’ it, if it’s already noodly it could get that much worse.

    I will be noticeably softer – knowing Jeremy Jones, I get the feeling the board will be really torsionally soft after being split (won’t respond well in firm conditions).

    Yeah I really like the board. It’s got the perfect amount of flex for me to shred, and I really like the tapered design of the board which gives it some float in pow. Plus the pop on it isn’t bad.

    My 2 cents:

    I took a lib tech dark series and cut mine down (and also cut 15mm of taper into the final shape). It definitely got softer – probably 20% or so. If you ride lots of pow, then it’s nothing to lose sleep over. Hardpack and ice performance dropped a bit.
