Had a chance to see Let it Ride last night about the life of Craig Kelly. Had a little splitting in it. This is one of those films that you don’t want to miss. Check it out when it comes to your area, or just go to where it is.

And no, I have no financial interest in it, I don’t see more than 1-2 movies a year, just glad that I took the time to see it. Most interesting was hearing the filmmaker talk about how the movie was made and his long time relationship with Craig Kelly.

looks awesome, thanks for sharing. They don’t even have the trailer up until Feb. 1st so it will probably be a while before it’s available to buy.

Looks awesome. Near the end of the comments/reviews trailer is a short comment by John Buffery or “Buff” as he is known. He is a friend of Craig Kelly’s and a key component in Baldface Lodge near Nelson B.C. where they worked together.

I honestly suggest some kind of splitboard get togther in that part of the world. 8) 8) 8)

I rode with “Buff” for a week at Baldface 2 days after Craig’s passing. Craig was supposed to be there during my stay. Somber week at Baldface to say the least. A portion of the crew went back to my old town of Bellingham for the wake while I rode with Dennis, Russ and Buff at BF. Dennis and I toasted Craig on the eve of his wake during a gorgeous sunset from the temporary cross the BF’ers made on Mushi Mushi ridge (Craig named that one). Pretty emotional.

Will never forget watching CK work all the nooks and cranny’s of The Chute from Chair 1 at Baker in the early am on powder days in the mid/late 90’s. The guy flowed like water over ice.

    RIP CK.

The photo in this link is said place of toast.

    Nelson Splitfest? – Hell Yass!!

Russell (mentioned above) has a kind spot at Ice Creek Lodge for lodging/touring (no machinery). Altho, the possibilities are endless in that neck of the woods.

I hear ya. It was great to watch him ride there. I remember one time I was scoping this line coming off of hemispheres not sure if I was going to do it or not and all of the sudden he came blazing by me and blasted right on through. I decided not to take the line.

DFT was the “Sacred Ride” crew still there? Marc Fawcett was working for BF and the SR tv show at the time. They ran a piece where the news was delivered and they went out to Mushi Mushi for a little rememberance and some thoughts. Episode turned into a tribute. I thought it aired the next season but I’m not sure.

I met Jeff, Paula and Buff, Joel and Dave (the photo taking Cat driver)briefly as a client the year before. They were so keen on making things work and making sure we all got the BF vibe.

I just found the Nelson area and people like that to be so cool. Its no coincidence that they are in the same neighborhood.

Not while I was there, I may have arrived 3-4 days after the actual accident and just missed the SR crew. The cross on mushi mushi that I was at was most likely the result of their work.

Any word about purchasing or even seeing this movie? I keep checking the website hoping for more details. Maybe I’m missing something? 😕
