    Holy shit!

Had no idea. ’bout time someone took advantage of this. and of course w/ your photography I can’t wait to get one.

Then again I love it and hate it cuz I hate tracks on my lines, but w/e. I’m just jealous I didn’t make the book myself 😀

Rad. Ordered mine. They wouldn’t let you get split or snowboard in the title?

Awesome. So when is the book signing? (… so I can show up to sign my page with TEX :))

Seriously, this is way cool. Congratulations Dan. I can’t think of a better person to do this, and it’s the perfect outlet for your backcountry riding and photography skills. My order is in. Can’t wait to check it out!

Definitely worthy of an update on the home page!

Are you making one for the southern portion of sierras or bridgeport areas?

    Thanks everybody!
I still haven’t seen a printed copy, and I can’t wait. Just been looking at pdf’s on a computer screen for the last few months, but hopefully something will be in my hands shortly.

We could have called it anything we wanted, but I really wanted to try to steer away from having the phrase “ski and snowboard” or “ski/snowboard” in the book. We just call it skiing, for simplicity.

Maybe at some point in the future. But that’s pretty far off. I just haven’t spent enough time in those areas to write a comprehensive book. If we do another edition, I’d like to keep it as in-depth as this one. That means I have to get out and do every single line on every peak in every drainage. That’s gonna take a few years.

That makes sense. Congrats again on the achievement, I can only imagine how many hours you’ve spent writing and editing.

Sounds like a horrible task, exploring and riding new places for a few years. 😉

Thanks for the link. There are a few copies floating around now. I just got one in the mail today, and the rest should be available soon.

I’m gonna send one to that guy who runs Splitboard.com. I just hope he’s as nice as Lou.
