last weeek before i hurt myself, i managed to get a little too up close and personal with a rock, and in turn completely destroyed my never summer t5. now i’m without a solid board, and am in the market. problem is, besides craigslist and ebay i’m kind of lost. i have tried searching the net for a forum site with good classified listing, but it seems all i find are 4 month old posts for freestyle boards. are there any snowboard sites out there with an active classified section (ala teletips, sb.com, tgr) where i can find a solid board? seems like the above mentioned forums don’t seem to have them that often (or never in the case of ttips…damn hippys). i’m looking to do this on the cheap and can’t really afford much more than $300, and am looking to get a 500-600 board so it should be interesting, but not impossible. and just an FYI i’m looking for longer boards 163-167 or so. thanks for any help

I have a red Flow solitude 160 that I am willing to part with for $100.. Very good condition. I have a NS premeire that is about the same, so I would rather ride that. JUst trying to thin the quiver by one board(so I can buy one more). WIlling to trade for other snow?BC related gear. I have a pretty long ‘want’ list.

Otherwise, I am not really sure on a good reliable site to purchase used equipement. I see adds that look tempting, but I don’t trust the exchange.

ctowles – I have basically new ’07 Burton Baron ES 164 that I may be selling. Sounds like that might fit what you’re looking for. Only ridden it a few times. I decided I don’t need the extra width. Shoot me a PM if you’re interested and maybe we can work something out.

I was in the Sports Authority in Logan, Ut over the weekend. They had 4 K2 Ambushs, all size 164cm for $219. The original sticker said $479 (not sure how accuarate that is). They were a couple years old and sure needed wax, but a great price nontheless. Perhaps they ship???

Ridden 4 days, Head AK 162. Great board but I want the 168, 250 bucks. Anyone else want it? Or a Salomon LOFT 160, last years, ridden 5 days 300$. Plus whatever shipping is. Let me know.

Flow boards are actually quite nice. They have been on of the top 3 boards I have demo’d the last 3 years. In fact I picked up a Flow Solitude for resort riding and I am quite happy with it.

thanks to everyone that responded. unfortunatly i’m very picky about what i’m riding and had already narrowed my search down considerably before even looking for used boards. i was pretty much looking at arbors and Never Summers…just because i have had pretty good luck with both. I ended up picking up a 08 titan from a shop down in crested butte for $375 out the door this afternoon. not too bad…35% off retail. considering these probably wholesale with a 40% margin like most hardgoods, thats means i paid close to cost, score! and i was able to charge it to my credit card…which is good and bad, but definatly eases the financial perdicament a little. so i am psyched. I’ve been feelin way better, and have been able to get out on the board in the last week..just in time to slay this pow that has recently fallen. now i have a new ride on the way. back in action…yeehaw

Nice dude, Congrats! You looked bummed the other day. I’m stoked for you. I love my Titan. It rips!

well, i was more bummed about the fact that i was spending $50 in gas driving over the pass 4x to play gigs for free(which i normally don’t do) instead of shredding. but the snow came that night and i’ve been doing my best to take advantage. had a great day on beards mtn the other day, and had had epic turns in big piney the next day. its just nice to be back out there in the mtns everyday. i was going stir crazy kicking around town for the last 4 weeks, so its nice to get some excercise. should be back out there tommorow morning. hopin to go ski the southeast shoulder of taylor depending on conditions and partners. lets get out and shred sometime though, i’m definatly back on the horse
