Anyone have one they can copy or put onto DVD? It’s from 1991 and is pretty much responsible for my interest in snowboarding. I need this viddy! 🙂 August 10, 2005 at 11:21 pm #582409 powderjunkie 1669 Posts No, but I got Snowboarders in Exile. Another classic. That and Pocohontos were my favorite snowboard flicks back in the day. August 10, 2005 at 11:36 pm #582410 mtnrider 740 Posts The soundtrack to “in Exile” is one of my favorite. Husker Du… I can hear that “Captain…” during Damian Sanders part right now. August 11, 2005 at 12:46 am #582411 powderjunkie 1669 Posts The Captain song is Firehose. The HR songs are sweet, too. Trying…. to…. remember. ummm…see the thread title yo! 😉 😯 😛 😈 ps. Fall Line Films pss. I need a copy of Exile bro! August 11, 2005 at 3:19 pm #582414 mtnrider 740 Posts I knew that song wasn’t Husker Du…I didn’t know it was Firehose though. Ah…the good old days. At least you slugs were right out here where stuff was going down. I had fun riding the ice back east though. I don’t remember Critical Condition…who’s in that? August 11, 2005 at 4:13 pm #582415 Ecobrad 2068 Posts Firehose is the shit!!! I saw Mike Watt break several bass strings during a show once, that dude is a genius. No one listens to them anymore. Am I retro if I mainly listen to pre-2000 music. I never buy new shit anymore. Firehose, Meat Puppets, Nirvana, Kill Em All, Frizzle Fry, Fishbone, Faith No More, Cows, Bad Religion, Mudhoney–I just don’t hear new music that inspires me much anymore. I’ll tell you something else, if I have to listen to some boring ass hip hop shit on a boarding/ski video again I’m going to puke. I know speed metal isn’t always appropriate but come on–throw in an instrument. Sorry for the hijack. Back on topic–I’ve never seen Critical Condition or Exile, but I want to. August 16, 2005 at 10:00 pm #582416 Ecobrad 2068 Posts Yo yo y`all, I guess everyone likes hip-hop. I thought at least mtnrider and PJ would back me up. 😕 August 16, 2005 at 10:33 pm #582417 bcrider 4149 Posts @ecobrad wrote: Yo yo y`all, I guess everyone likes hip-hop. I’ve just found that I can only listen to certain stuff for so long or during certain periods in my life. I like old, new and everything in between. 🙂 August 16, 2005 at 10:52 pm #582418 Ecobrad 2068 Posts I like old, new and everything in between Like I said before, spoken like a true moderater 😉 I’m not saying everything has to be hard BTW. Just good. Maybe there are good bands out there now and I’m just to old to go find it. I definetly don’t have my finger on the pulse of the scene anymore. Do we at least agree that the new shit they play on the radio typically sucks ❓ August 16, 2005 at 10:55 pm #582419 bcrider 4149 Posts @ecobrad wrote: Do we at least agree that the new shit they play on the radio typically sucks ❓ We agree. But every now and then there are some finds. 8) August 16, 2005 at 10:57 pm #582420 mtnrider 740 Posts I’m pretty much a metal guy here, I don’t know the Cows, I don’t like the meat puppets much but the rest are good by me. Neurosis, Slayer, Fu Manchu, Clutch, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and In Flames are some of my regulars as are most of the ones you listed, along with Swollen Members and The Grouch for a little hip hop. I also like Robert Palmer and Phil Collins though 😀 I guess this topic is drifting but, eh… 😉 dude, you don’t like Nucleus’ Jam On It ❓ August 16, 2005 at 11:08 pm #582421 Ecobrad 2068 Posts But every now and then there are some finds. I agree. No doubt about it. MntR-Not sure if you’d like the Cows. They’re pretty unique, but I like em. Don’t tell anyone else but I do like really good hip-hop. What’s In Flames, never heard of them. Dude, I listen to the Police, Rush, Zep., Palmer and othe shit like that. That’s all good rock played by good, er, great mucisians. Jam, Jam On it. Can you feel me rockin out at my desk? August 16, 2005 at 11:24 pm #582422 mtnrider 740 Posts @ecobrad wrote: MntR-Not sure if you’d like the Cows. They’re pretty unique, but I like em. Try going to a Neurosis show…12-15 minute songs of soft and somber all the way up through the wall of devastation. In Flames is pretty much speed/death/thrash metal. August 16, 2005 at 11:30 pm #582423 Ecobrad 2068 Posts I haven’t been to a Neurosis show but I’ve got an album or two. Haven’t listened to them in awhile. Ummm, speed/death/thrash metal. Don’t listen to much of that anymore. Are you recommending them?
