Howdy gang! Finally getting out and about now that work obligations are not so crazy. Headed out Friday night to camp and it was -19 when we left the cars. Woke up in the morning and it was equally cold, but killer bluebird day.

Finally snagged a line that I have been dreaming of all season. We call this Buffalo Fork Peak Couloir. The snow was quite variable, but bomber as far as stability…something that is nice when climbing bigger exposed lines.

Morning wake up photo…nope…not frozen at all.

Tim with the obligatory point…”Damn…look at those lines”

Our route of Buffalo Fork Peak Couloir.

My cuz Tim from Santa Fe skinning up to our objective.

    Great views on the approach.

Perspective view of steepness (Tim above boards) and truly and endless winter. Gotta smile for snow!

Playing it safe and digging a pit…BOMBER…it’s a go!

    Climbing higher.

By the time we neared the top, clouds, cold, and snow started moving in. These cornices are a big concern on this climb…very thankful it is not heating up.

Top of Buffalo Fork Peak couloir…

    Craggy summit

Wysplit_ride getting the goods and stoked to be nailing it finally.

The rest of the boys drop it like hot potatos.

It was a sick day for sure on Togwotee Pass. It wasn’t blower pow, but the snow was good for gettin’ after it. Should be a great weekend coming up!
