YAY!!! I’m back in Chamonix after 2 months of keepin my nose to the grindstone, working some 17 hour days to make it happen. With a new Jones Solution split I’m hoping to crush some lines out here in the next two months.

Ah, so good to be back. This is me after shredding the Mer de Glace. We chowed some chocolate gaufres and stinky cheese then threw on our skins to head up the Talefre Basin towards the Courvercle hut.

This is a shot of the South couloir of the Aiguille Croulante in the Talefre Basin. We have no idea what the snow is going to be like because of high temps and little snow but we’re hoping for perfect corn…

Drew and I climbing a shoot up to the hut. Right before this we had to climb a sketchy slab with rock and melting snow and a couple 5.8 moves. A giant rock came hurtling down and Davide yelled for us to get out of the way. I jumped to miss it and as Drew was cruxing on the wet slab he moved his head out of the way just enough for it to miss impaling his skull and hit his calf. The champ was ok but we were all on edge after this and stoked to get out of this zone.

Our view of the Grandes Jorasses from the sun deck above the hut. Drinkin some cold ones.

Meez. Grandes Jorasses on the left and Mont Blanc on the right.

Climbing the couloir. We had to wait for an hour or so for the snow to warm up. I ate more gaufres, napped and the boys did some crevasses rescue.

Me shredding. It was pretty steep but the snow was slushy and grippy above translucent, glowing blue ice. It held an edge nicely on my new Jones Solution, I’m SO stoked on this board! Pretty nice to be back on Cham steeps!

    Towards the bottom

After some sick freeriding down the basin we stopped to boulder to prepare for our beach climbing weekend in Italy.

    Brian Boitano crushing the overhang.

Here’s a fun video. I forgot my adaptor for my helmet so barely any shredage footage unfortunately.

Saw two guys and a girl waiting at the outsize luggage conveyer when I was coming through geneva airport a couple of weeks ago.
They looked just like you and your crew.
I noticed them because I could tell the were from the States and because they had swagger like they were heading for something big.

Can’t have been you guys though, that would be too much of a coincidence.
    Surely.
