Basically they took their standard lower boot section and added a taller cuff and liner. I found a pair in my size around the middle of last year and they are pretty nice. So, surfing ebay today I noticed not one, but TWO pairs for sale: (I apologize to anyone that may have been eyeballing these and waiting for the last moment) http://cgi.ebay.com/Koflach-Alpine-Mountaineering-boots_W0QQitemZ190032112061QQihZ009QQcategoryZ62215QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and http://cgi.ebay.com/Koflach-Superpipe_W0QQitemZ160031612839QQihZ006QQcategoryZ137011QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem play nice. September 19, 2006 at 3:43 am #590432 bcrider 4149 Posts Thanks for the FYI bcd! I snatched a pair up for the rarity of it, because they are close to my size (might be a little snug), they were in great shape, and they were cheap. Not sure how they’ll sit in my strap bindings but I’m sure I’ll be able to figure something out. Might need to start a boot quiver thread now too! DriverX, SL9, K2 T1, Lowa Struktura, and now these. 😀 September 19, 2006 at 4:31 am #590433 bcd 232 Posts Sweet! We’ll have to start a club. The liners are fairly thick, so if they are tight you could swap them out with some super-thin thermofit liners. SanFrantastico, you should be able to find some matching pastel purple, pink, or green ski pants to go with them. Just make sure you tuck your pants into the boots before lacing them up. September 30, 2006 at 1:50 am #590438 bcrider 4149 Posts Does any know when these boots were produced? I’m thinking early 90’s but that is a total guess. September 30, 2006 at 5:26 am #590439 SanFrantastico 1514 Posts Mine came in the mail today. 😀 They fit perfectly! 😀 😀 😀 Everything seems to point to early 90’s. There’s this in our very own forum. In other places I’ve seen them described as ‘ancient’ and ‘antique.’ And I found this this awesome color combination which is clearly not of this decade. (Not advised for epileptics.) Rode them maybe 60 days that season, then packed them away in the garage, only to throw them away a couple years later. I’ve got a pair of size 11 Driver X’s, thinking about these 11.5 Oxygens… October 17, 2006 at 7:19 pm #590444 bcd 232 Posts Yeah, sizing is pretty accurate. The pair I have is the same size. I typically wear 10.5 and there is bit of room left in the 11.5 boot, though it’s a nice fit with a thicker liner. October 18, 2006 at 5:30 am #590445 SanFrantastico 1514 Posts I wear size 11 Northwaves and the size 11 superpipes fit like a glove. They are narrow in the heel, which I like.
