    Hi all,

Sorry for the short notice but due to a few unforeseen obstacles we’re going to have to postpone this event a few weeks. We’re hoping to pull it off in the middle of March or possibly in April. If not, we are dedicated to try again next year.

Thanks for all the support and interest, I apologize I couldn’t make it happen in time. :thatrocks:

These things are a lot easier to do when simple things happen. Like snow…

    Hi all,

Just wanted to officially let you know we aren’t going to pull this off this year and we will try again next year!

Kinda figured when Homewood announced this was their last week of ops for the year.

Hopefully the last week of March and early April will at least give us a little more base to ride on for a bit, but it’s just one of those years again.

Tough winter calls for tough news.

However there is good news in that the Bear Valley Freeheel Festival is still happening on March 28-30, 2014.

There is a surprising amount of snow down here and current riding conditions are “off the cob” with sweet corn and good coverage both in and out of bounds. On a daily basis people are commenting how much more snow we have than other places in the Sierra. Our lower mountain isn’t open but the entire upper mountain and readily accessible backcountry bowls are in great shape. The locals have been skiing town runs all day long using the free village shuttle to get back to the resort to do it all over again, and again, and again.

Plus are weather forecast hints that things will change for the better right before the event and switch conditions back to winter. If you haven’t experienced Bear Valley, or it’s been awhile, consider coming over for a good ‘ol time.
