I am looking for some phantoms or comparable bindings for my board. Transitioning over to the hard boots and hope to have the set up sorted by spring. Anyone have any leads. The fellow who makes the Phantoms is all sold out for now. So I am looking for a solution for this spring. Thanks

There really is not anything comparable to Phantom bindings. If you need a plate style binding for split board use right now, maybe you might get lucky and be able to find some used Phantoms for sale somewhere…
Other options are to get voile plates and the voile hard boot binding for temporary use (this set up works, but is somewhat compromised, at least it is very affordable), and then make sure you order a set of Phantoms for next season. The Phantom Splitboard Bindings are produced in the late summer/early fall of every season, and always sell out. So be sure to get an order in, as they are by far the best solution for splitboard.

Nothing is like thise Binders – NOTHING

alternative: next year the spark hardboot binder dyno, voile mountain plate, and some custom slider like first light s.

my mine: phantoms are out of space from the design

Actually, they are Alien technology. Keffler was abducted by aliens and imparted with much alien tech knowledge. He had to go through extensive regression therapy to recall the alien tech knowledge used to produce the Phantom Bindings and interface. This is also the secret to his employment/success as an aerospace engineer.

shhhh, Barrows, You are letting my secret out. Don’t jeopardize the things that are still yet to be downloaded by letting too many people know what’s really going on…

However, I can give out a little more info, but just keep it between you and me… I was giving these instructions on how to build bindings because I will be needing them for my quest to search the high mountains for the technologies that has been lost to us today. The future of our civilization depends on it.

And now you know why hardbooters are so crazed….we are on a quest to save the world…through ancient alien technology…that’s soon to be future technology…or something…

That video trailer was awesome Keffler. Good luck on your quest for the unknowable (at least to the rest of us)!

Hi Tess. I’ve been using the Fistlight bindings this season and find they work really well. Just about to do a review. Will post it here soon.

I changed to hardboots before Keffler started selling the Phantoms so I started out with Bomber bindings mounted on Voile plates which work well but keep your foot high off the board and they are also very heavy.

With the Firstlights your boot is directly on the plate so at least as close to the board as Sparks etc. so they feel really nice to ride. Plus they are half the weight of your average softboot splitbinding which makes a huge difference as you have them in your backpack when skinning. And its cheap. You use all the Voile stuff that you are already using and just slap the new bindings on.

Hope this helps. Either way, go hardboot! It’s the future!

the Phantoms are the-not an-awesome h/b split binding. Others are functional but require compromise. On my 4th split binding system and the current year Phantoms are top notch everywhere it counts. The connection is so solid I’ve stopped using anything an ankle strap for teh pow surfz.

Build quality is superb and he provides free tools to keep your ride secure and reliable. Extremely fast changeover speed. They’re excellent.

It is true though that Keffler is a science guy. So don’t mess with him, he’s the Jason Bourne of splitboarding. Seriously.
