ParticipantDoes anyone know any other binding parts that would work with the Spark R&D baseplates, other than Bent Metal?

ParticipantPretty much any….
you just need a drill and possibly sheet metal scissors (to cut plastic) for the mod.

ParticipantI put some K2 high backs on my Sparks sans drilling or cutting. I found that the Bent Metal high backs weren’t very comfy for my skinny calfs.

ParticipantI completely Burton’d my Sparks baseplates. Xacto blade, drill, and hacksaw.

ParticipantYou should be able to out any straps on there without modification. I was able to put some Sims highbacks on without modding. I did have some other Sims highbacks that I wanted to use but couldn’t get to work and didn’t want to hack them.

ParticipantI’m thinking of buying a set of fuse base plates and have a set of ride cad bindings to cannibalize.
Does anyone know if the cad highback will fit?May 2, 2010 at 9:37 pm #625580Colin
Participantalso interested if anyone’s tried newer drakes?

ParticipantI’ve been using union force highbacks and burton straps (ultrastrap air and ultracap). They were the lightest highbacks I had in my binding pile (burton, ride, etc). They also had holes that lined up perfectly, so I didn’t have to drill and cut. I did have to shorten the hardware for the ankle straps, that just took a quick trip to the bench grinder.
