Not the same old Buffalo

So I’ve climbed Buffalo a lot of times. Always done either the Silver Couloir or the East couloir and really had no interest in going back up that mountain again for a while. Then, a few weeks ago when we were up on Red Mountain, we spotted a line that neither of us had seen before. From Red, it looked like it would go all the way but there’s only one way to find out for sure. I planned on having to hike out if it didn’t pan out.

Turned out that she went all the way. Best part was, I counted about 4 separate chokes that you pass through on the way down. The snow was mostly good and the chute was steep. A few icy spots to make it interesting, especially when you are headed into a choke. I estimate than it runs about 2500′, a little shorter than the silver but much more entertaining in my opinion.

BTW I guess I shouldn’t even post this TR here because I used Verts to send it and not my split. 😉
