Just thought some of you splitters might want to try to check this one out. If you have any questions, send me a note and I will try to get some answers.

    Hope to see you there.

This is a note to let people know that Ari Marcopoulis, a good friend of mine and of the late Craig Kelly, put together a documentary/tribute film on Craig call “WHERE THE WIND BLOWS”. Ari had spent the last about 6 seasons of Craig’s life shooting stills and video of Craig’s trips and life. Ari also did a recorded interview with Craig just a month before his death. This film highlights Craig and his thoughts, riding, some trips and life. It will be shown for the first time 7:30 PM on Wed. November 18th at the UC Berkeley Art Museum & Pacific Film Archive. The address is 2575 Bancroft Way, Berkeley, CA. Call for advanced tickets at (510) 642-5249 or check out this link http://www.bampfa.berkeley.edu/film/FN18366.

PS I talked to Ari and he said that he is willing to put it out on DVD. He just has to figure out the distribution, so it will take some time.

    Hey Tom thanks for sharing!

Do you know if Ari plans to show the film nationally, internationally, or distribute a DVD?
Lots of CK fans all over, myself among them.

Oh awesome… that’s just a mile down the street. Any other Bay Area peeps going?

I don’t know if anyone recalls this vid from last Summer of people bombing Claremont Canyon on longboards, but it is by Ari Marcopoulis and will be shown as well…

Same question as Snurfer, wondering where I could see this film? Now very interested in doing so!

Could you ask him about the PNW too? If it doesn’t make it up here by this Spring maybe we can show it at the PNW Splitfest! We’re going to be at CK’s home mountain!

Tom, Triple ditto that… Craig was an international mentor. I’m sure lots of people would buy this movie.

I was one many privileged people whose lives were changed simply by snowboarding with Craig @ BaldFace even if just for a couple days…. I would love to see this movie.

    Craig is always missed.

I would not doubt that it could be shown. I will send it on to Ari.

    Yes, distribution please!

There are some keen Aussies that want to see it down here.

    Thanks,

If he wanted to show it at the PNW splitfest I could probably provide a screen and projector if need be.

we need to organize a pre-showing get together. Maybe even a skate session at Berkeley under the lights.

Storn – you’re in charge of organizing. 😉

Okay – I’ll be having a little preshowing/preseason splitboard mixer from 5-7 PM at my house on Wednesday the 18th for whomever is interested. I live maybe a mile or two down College ave from the campus. Send an rsvp to me (at) storn dot comma or PM me for the address. Beer and snacks will be served.

PS – Bring a headlamp and a longboard – we’re gonna ride Claremont Canyon afterwards. 😆

I could TOTALLY get them to play it on the Giant Screen in the Performing Arts Center at WWU!! Plus, there would be a HUGE following of Bellingham riders to come see it – Not to mention all the people from all over the PNW that would migrate to see it…

Y’all should find out about getting a copy of this to be shown at Scrubfest. Storn and company are you going to be coming up to WY again for it?

Will is working on getting the film to Wyoming for ScrubFest. This would be a perfect place to show it!

Ari said he heard from Will so I think that the movie will move that way. Ari was also stoked to check out the new fuse binding.
