Shasta Mountain Guides is offering a snowboard mountaineering trip this weekend which will include a summit climb and ride. The conditions are all time right now with a super deep snowpack and spring weather on tap! Jarrett Luttrell, the first person to ride all the CO 14’ers will be leading this trip and we want to invite you to join us. I will offer a special price to y’all on SB.com for anyone interested, we have 2 spots available. Give a call or email to discuss details. I know a few of you here have done this trip in the past. It’s going to be a great weekend on Shastafari! May 3, 2011 at 4:33 pm #640026 jbaysurfer 947 Posts I did this trip back in ’06 (I think). I highly recommend it. Get some big mountain experience (maybe even a summit!) from a split specific perspective. Is this an annual trip or something that rolls around every couple of years? May 7, 2011 at 2:58 pm #640028 shasta 143 Posts I think they do one of these every year. You can check this out for more info:http://www.shastaguides.com/node/44. Went up above Helen yesterday to 11,600-snow was great down to about 10K. After that it got gloppy — didn’t stay cold enough to refreeze is my guess — been unseasonably warm last few days. Snowpack is bomber and May and June will be an awesome corn fest.
