I filled up a 16 gig card with over 700 raw images but I posted the better 175 here for your viewing pleasure. If you like one, buy a print and help a brotha out!
Damn, you did work! I only took ~75 pics (most of which were garbage as I hadn’t shot in awhile and apparently forgot how to account for light  ) as I was too busy being a gaper. Took some of some randoms, took some of the crew I met up with, will update thread as I get time. If anybody wants the originals it’ll cost you a donation to the NWAC.
If y’all know this dude I’ve got a few of him from when I was relaxing in the valley
edit: assume you intended this as a photo dump thread for all, if it was just for your personal pics lemme know and I’ll start a diff thread!
man that splitfest was super fun. The cabin in glacier was sick and we were stoked to get a few people out on chimera boards. thanks so much to everyone that put on the fest and Pete at chair 9. It was cool to meet bcrider, russman, jcocci, kyle miller and everyone else on this board. :thatrocks:
this season in the wasatch has been super lame so riding the chute on mt. ann in good snow was one of the highlights of my season for sure!
I’ve got 400 something photo’s to wade through from our little road trip but i’ll put some up soon.

Cool by me! Load the photos up on here. Love these shots!
I’m going to be writing a article on the MBSF to submit to snowboard rags. If anyone wants to get a shot in the article, let me know so you can send me the orignal, high res file… . I’ll also need to get a release from you. There’s no money in this, just a by-line. Keep in mind not all photos submitted to me will make it into the article but you can’t get your shit published if you don’t try. I don’t even know if I can get my article published but I’m still going to write and submit it.
BTW, Great weekend! This event has such a great vib, it really has become the highlight of my season!
Thanks for a fun event Bob and Terry! I had a great time and couldn’t have asked for better conditions, weather, and hosts.
Awesome to hear how much money was raised as well. :thatrocks:
I’d like to think the exposure the event received on splitboard.com had a positive effect on the overall outcome of the event and as such would be grateful for the opportunity to run your write-up on the site. Thanks!
The mt. baker splitfest was the end of our road trip and looking back on my photos I must have gotten lazy. I hardly have any riding shots. I was having too much fun on the awesome terrain up there rollers, hips, and drops all over the place!
Alister
Saturday Objective
Jason dropping into Ann’s slot
Alister, BCrider, Russman, and Kyle Miller hanging out at the Chimera Display
I’m going to do a separate TR for our weeklong road trip. More photos will be on there when I get around to posting it.
Man, what a great weekend. Great meeting and riding with new folks. Glad the auction was a success is raising some good funds fro NWAC. I won some G3 skins!! Have a few hundred photos to go through as well, hopefully get through them soon and post some up.
Great to see you and the Chimera crew wasatch surf! Glad we could take a run together too albeit short.
And super thanks to jcocci and wife for putting me up for the long weekend. Thanks to spicoli, kyle miller, and jcocci for the tour guiding too! :thatrocks:
Great to hang with nomand and glacier bandit as well!
The Olympics, just one small piece of the cascades
Straight from the airplane to the skintrack in under 2hours. My kinda tour too….straight up from the lot! Thanks spicoli!
About 3/4 the way up, looking over to Alpental
Chair Peak (I think)
Met a mutual friend on the skintrack, Adam. He does the honors on “the slot”
I’m stoked
No shots within the line due to safety but here’s spicoli on the apron
Towards the exit notch we go
but not before a few more turns…. (spicoli pics)
wiping the lenses clean from the cascade concrete 😉
Rainier
The road to Mt Baker
Mt Baker ski area which ironically is nowhere near Mt Baker proper and sits on the arm of Mt Shuksan
Kyle, Ben, and Jon heading out for some sidecountry. Props to the ski area for allowing uphill traffic!
Table mountain and the sidecountry, no wonder so many good riders call this place home
On the skinner
The skinner and booter up Table Mtn
Topping out on table, can you tell I’m stoked to be here
The view didn’t suck, Mt Shuksan
Baker proper
Jcocci getting some with the rest of the crew on deck in the upper left corner
Too many tracks on the frontside so off to the backside we go, pic by Nomad
Good snow makes for good turns
More Mt Baker….next year!
Kyle Miller
b.s. spayin’
nomad rides strong and is fun to watch
Chilling in the condo
Friday night demo set-up and meet-n-greet at Chair 9 and a stoked lady splitter with the new Prior AMF and 12/13 Spark Blazes. The bluegrass band was good too but the dude kept getting closer and closer when he saw the camera….awkward. 🙂
The next day we aim for Shuksan
Da crew
Getting over an old avy crown = scary
More skintrack stoke and amazing views (nomad pic)
Kyle Miller out front (nomad pic)
Getting on the upper Curtis glacier
John on the booter
Almost there
Shuksan summit proper
Glacier Bandit (nomad pic)
Kyle on the glacier before the lines drop off into oblivion (nomad pic)
The descent didn’t go quite as planned so no riding pics but if you look close you can see our tracks to the right down the White Salmon glacier
Nomads pic and annotations. Our intended line in red (which nomad was able to barely make through safely due to ice), green is the rest of the group’s descent, yellow is another group of splitter’s line from the day
9hr day, 7k of vert, and a day I’ll never forget with a great crew. Thanks guys!
8pm Saturday night at Chair 9, by 9pm it was standing room only. Big ups to the organizers, all the sponsors, and attendees!
The next morning the Karakoram boys set up some stoked splitters with demo bindings, Chad from Jones snowboards throwing the shaka.
The next day back to the Baker sidecountry where I crossed paths with the Chimera crew and wasatch surf. Great to see you guys!
On the road back to Seattle. Kyle and John taking in the view at Chuckanut Bay.
Day 5, to Kyle’s backyard in the Crystal Mountain backcountry we go, jcocci slashin’
Kyle on run 2
Seattle and Mt Rainier in the distance. I’ll be back for sure! Hopefully with the family someday too. Thanks again to jcocci, mrs jcocci, and the rest of my WA friends for the hospitality! you rule!
Wow! Looks like I missed a really good time. Really sorry I couldn’t make it, but that’s what happens when mbsf goes down the same weekend as my girls b-day. Had company and airport dropoffs and stuff too. Maybe next year.
Nice work Bob, and everyone else who contributed to making it happen.
