i’m wanting to do a long distance (300+) miles on a split board set on the regular split board binding set up it is nearly impossible to got get any kind of respectable glide. im curious if anyone has modified a set up to be able to mount and AT or tele set up on the split board to allow for a better glide on flats.
A few folks have mounted dynafit toes on their splits. Do a search and you’ll probably find a few threads on this. Cutting a thinner pair of skins might give you more glide as well, though they would not climb as well. Whether that would work for you would depend on the terrain you’re planning on covering.
For flats use x-country ski wax on the base instead of skins. Way better glide and still a little stick. You might have to clean off the wax before you put the skins on though

300 miles on a split……. that’s just crazy talk to me. Try that with another setup.
