Have you guys got anything fixed up yet for the coming winter? Seen some nice photos of The Cairngorms this morning. Filling in nicely and more snow forecast this week. It’s looking good Emma! Counting down the days! Martin November 5, 2013 at 11:24 am #671825 62daveUK 13 Posts Hi Martin, A few ideas for this season but nothing firm just yet… I’m finding it tricky to find a compromise as I’d like to do some trips with my usual snowboarding mates but they haven’t quite bought into splitboarding just yet! A Scotland trip would be awesome – I’ve never been but always fancied a road trip up there to do some exploring. November 5, 2013 at 9:18 pm #671826 JPEL 3 Posts Hi all – also based in London and keen for a trip up to Scotland – discovered today that there is a ‘Caledonian Sleeper’ train which gets you from Euston to Aviemore overnight which I reckon could work pretty well for weekend trips! November 5, 2013 at 9:32 pm #671827 Jackschranz 40 Posts I feel an early season trip coming. That train is a great option compared to driving. Good find Jon  November 6, 2013 at 11:53 am #671828 Lex76 26 Posts Not sure about this winter, have a 7 week little man which will change plans this time. But saying that have long weekend in march booked up for Alagna back country trip… Otherwise will be on the West Country hills if we get some snow! The Caledonian is a very good option, but when it costs roughly as much as a train/plane to the Alps it’s a bit hard to justify. I flied last January both ways to Grenoble for about 90 quid, board included. The Eurostar has the occasional sweet train offer – http://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/eurostar-deals/eurostar-train-deals/ski-train-the-alps Otherwise I plan two weeks in Gulmarg in February and probably one week of touring somewhere January, March and April January 28, 2014 at 4:00 pm #671832 OJS 1 Posts London-based Norwegian here. I’d be up for a Scotland train trip in Feb or March – remember reading this http://whitelines.com/travel/skinning-up-a-scottish-splitboard-experience.html and thinking that I had to do it at some point!
