… but of course we already knew that. Nice feature in the current issue of Backcountry mag! Nice writeup on Kip Garre too, another unsung hero.

Geez, we’re mainstream now. What’s next, BCD on the cover of Outside?? 🙂

    Congrats Kyle.

Not too shabby Kyle..even though I swear I could smell your socks from the one pic (was it Valhallas?) they used 😛

Jim, FWIW, I also have noticed this “mainstream” thing. Last months Conde Naste listed Splitboarding in the “What’s hot now” section, and Sierra Magazine a couple of months ago did a feature on JJ focusing on his unique “split snowboard” technique for appoaching lines.

Kyle though..I gotta say, it seems like just yesterday when I was reading a TR from your cascade assualt on Mt. McLoughlin thinking “I never even heard of this guy until this season and now he’s crossing off lines on my ticklist that have been there for 3 years!

That was the last time I compared myself to you though. 😉

Kyle Miller passed me in the uptrack one day. I’ll have to take a look at the article.

I just saw the article as well and it is a honor to be mentioned let alone have a bio (of sort) in any magazine.

Our sport has finally gone mainstream and it only took 20 years

A huge thanks goes to Cowboy and Craig Kelly for being true innovators those guys rocked before rocking was cool :headbang:
