    Putting out some feelers here

Who would be interested this year?

With Scrubfest in Febuary and the PNW split party in April I wanted to wait to see what the Sierra snowpack would look like because if we are going to do this it would have to be between mid april- mid June.

So with that in mind should we shoot for something like Convict lake resort again this year? Or should we shoot for something like a memeorial weekend campout somewhere?

I know holiday weekends get crowded and there are also those FAMILY commitments so Im not sure if thats gonna fly

If we choose the Convict Lake Resort again I will have to ask for an upfront deposite of about half the total weekend fee.

Last year we did 3 days with breakfast and 2 off the hook dinners at the cabin for 170 per person

But looking at what the scrbfest and PNW parties cost that may be excessive in cost for some.

However…convict lake is VERY nice and it close to Mammoth if anyones friends or family want to go resort riding and it does have world class lines in view from the front porch

I will need some help on this, and I know a few have already pmed me letting me know they would help out.

Be nice to see some out of state people show up again this year

Even had a guy from Kentucky show up last year 😮

I’m in…how many nights was that last year? 3? 170 for 3 nights + breakfast + those two dinners+ shared stoke= $ well spent. But you’re right, compared to the other parties it does seem steep. Seems like we were close to full up last year too right? Don’t know how you could do Convict again at a cheaper price unless we drop the food….but without Creme Brulee Shralphmachio might get restless….PM sent.

Wouldn’t miss it. A large campout might be interesting. The later, the better on that idea…

tex – you know my answer – and anything i can do to help – lemme know

for me, i’m camping all winter so it is kind of nice to get into that fat cat convict lake house after a nice day of riding. i also really liked the catered food.

plus im terrible at math but if you breakdown that 170 over two days and throw in the food, its not steep at all. more like a nice meadow skip.

I would love to come down as well ,and get to meet some of these great people, that write these posts that I read.

My wife and I have to make sure we got someone watching the kids of course and we would be in. We wouldn t need a bed though. We have a small Rv, and would love to bring it. So two more people, cutting the cost of food, but not the beds. What do you think. Let us know…

    Very interested… :guinness:

I’m really interested in coming down for this but won’t know if I can spare the time until we get closer to the date. Is the date etched in stone yet?

Would love to do a camping trip down to there with the fam (wife and dogs).

Misery does like company…I was barley walking last weekend.

Was submarining through waist deep pow at June and went heads up with a submerged root or limb. The limb lined up perfectly with the outside of my left knee as the snow compacted…board tried to go under, upper body cartwheeled over=not good. Fortunately I think it’s just a moderate ligament sprain and I’m healing quickly but needless to say my weekend turned out much different that I has planned. :nononno:

Hit the tubs Saturday morning on the drive up about 4:20am and it was -8 degress…talk about shrinkage!!! 😆

Count me in, maybe wifey too if she likes Wyoming and Baker.

Convict is just fine, would like to see Old Mans Bowl in normal conditions. Would be cool to hit stuff up Tioga Pass soon as it opens. Maybe we can get Mo-Mart to cater.

It’s great to see so many people offering to help out but please STAY AWAY from the coffee making duties. Just let TEX take care of that, especially if you see him in the ‘early morning’ zone.

I think the setup was perfect last year. The location/accommodation was spot on, food incredible. To those who haven’t been, i say just go with the flow. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ll be back with Mrs HolbyCo if work allows me.
