I usually only take the split out after a storm to ride powder.I’m able to get either board for similar price but the burton comes with colab pucks while the jones require new pucks. The burton may also work with my existing skins as the shape seems similar to the malolo. I love the ride if the fish and think the hovercraft would be similar – but how is the touring. Haven’t ridden it yet as a split but I was extremely impressed by the way it carves on groomers when I took it out to dial in my stance. Thinking about buying another one to keep as my resort board. If you don’t plan on riding switch, buy the hovercraft. Go that way really fast. If something gets in your way, turn.
