The flagship pic looks the same shape as his latest rossi model to me.

well, i figure that any rider owned company is going to do the splitboard industry some good, we all have different tastes and riding styles, so the more out there to choose from, the better. jj seems like the kind of guy that wants to be able to stand by the product he reps, so i’m personally excited to see what he’s got to offer with tech and such. i’ve ridden mag for over a season now, and sure, it’s grippier, but i’d prefer a straighter sidecut profile to handle the icy stuff.

we’ll see i guess. i hear there is another small split company in the works out of canada as well for next season or the season after. i’m sure they’ll be more rider owned companies popping up rather than the big companies getting into it, there isn’t a lot of money in the split industry to be made yet.

He’d be crazy not to make a board “inspired by” his last/latest Rossi model.

He’s going to be releasing a film about the same time as these boards become available. The film’s going to be huge, and people are going to want a board like the one he’s riding in the movie.

It probably won’t occur, or matter to many that they’re made by different manufacturers.

Or in other words: he’s pouring more effort into this film than any of his others by a huge margin, and putting a ton of effort into his board company too. It’d be silly not to have them supporting each other wherever they can.

Hey russman! Your points on the science of climate change are solid enough, there’s no need for the character assassination on bgnight.
Or maybe I’m just too Canadian.

Looking forward to reviews on the first JJ splitty.

But I don’t ride backwards, so it’s hard for me to get too excited about more twin boards.

Why are you focusing on the twin when there will be 3 other models that are most likely more suited for your needs?

“We will bring four models to the market in our first year. A directional freeride board, a powder specific snowboard, a freestyle/freeride board and a split board.”

If I get the chance to ride the directional board I’d definitely give it a shot, but they are all twins from my perspective (round nose round tail)…. Just ask Taro

I was going to say the same Snurfer. If anyone wants to see some change in the direction of where I think boards should go. Get away from the Hop scotch boards of JIb fest mania, NOt that I don t like air time on the mountain and or that that sucks , because thats not what I m saying….. I mean we all split for different reasons and its great to see all this innovation….Man I rode my 182 SD from 1999, the last few outings, and again I got to rediscover the beauty of this old NOODle… WOW! does it kick Ass In 20 + inches of Sierra Pow POw….

So, If anyone wants to see some radical, I mean radical change in boards, first google Gentemstick, and then watch Signature from Sweet Grass…It ll blow you away. I got to see a bunch of his boards at Squaw Valley earlier this year, and they were innovative for sure… Spendy of course, but so different from the boards , that almost everyone is putting out these days.

I am sure that we will soon be able to find find most boards at your local Cost co soon enough… or Are they already there , I skip that section of the store when I m Getting my goods…

And , by the way Sarah Palin is hot…. :twocents:

yeah, those gentemstick profiles, are nice. i’ve heard that prior builds a bunch of boards for him, if not all of them. just a rumour here in bc.

i’m personally really stoked that the industry will be growing, and we can all infulence it by doing stuff like being inclusive of new and younger riders, and really encouraging our them to get down with a local avy course. the worst thing that happened with snowboardign was that the sense of community disappeared, so i hope we can retain that ass best we can, and get behind split companies that really represent the lifestyle. let’s sponsor some really strong embassadors of the sport, not the guy who can spin his head off.

anyhow, we’ll see. next year i think will be really interesting.
