Now it works! Can’t wait for the specs.
I don’t want to be a member of POW though. Wonder if I can just deny my membership since man made CO2 has nothing to do w/ snow disappearing.

Sweet! I’m anxious to demo these boards and might even be in the market for a new split next year :bananas:

Jeremy is one of the few public figures in snowboarding I take any interest in. BUT these boards seem like much to do about not much…. :twocents:

Don’t know that I agree, a factory split with rocker AND magna traction would be a first and it is something I personally would like to see.

Curious about the durability and ride characteristics of boards using the materials he mentioned though…. Could be nice though, JJ’s Rossi’s have always been bomber and nice riding sticks…

Hard to say with only computer generated graphics, but the board on the left looks to be his re-imagining of The Experience from his work with Rossi. The tip/tail profiles on both boards have that characteristic shape… I’m looking forward to seeing what the splitty looks like as well.

Yeah, it’s definitely down to personal taste and I’m glad to see him trying to be conscientious about materials. But I don’t ride backwards, so it’s hard for me to get too excited about more twin boards.

I wouldn’t have even chimed in on this thread, but in one of Jeremy’s earliest JSB press releases he spoke of new shapes, and in this latest piece he himself talks about how there are already many park boards. I just happen to consider anything with two kick tails to be in the skate lineage (i.e., park board). Nothing wrong with that, I was just hoping for something different and I realize I’m in the minority.

Why are you focusing on the twin when there will be 3 other models that are most likely more suited for your needs?

“We will bring four models to the market in our first year. A directional freeride board, a powder specific snowboard, a freestyle/freeride board and a split board.”

I can see not being that jazzed on JJs boards if I came from a carving/hardboot background and didn’t want to slash, drop, spin, chute, jump turns, etc…but if you do, STOKED.

I picked up the rossi experience previously known as Jones pro model. It has traditional camber under foot and a nice rockered nose. In pow i have been able to ride with my weight centered over the board, like riding groomers. The board is super stiff and loves going fast and straight. Its a solid board that i use on mount glory and slack country. I wish i could afford another one to split, i think the Jones company will have that solved for me next season.

The combination of rocker and camber is where its at.

When I hear people say this, it becomes more and more apparent how people love to remove responsibility from their own hands. It’s convenient to say we’re not influencing climate change, because it implies that we get to continue with our wasteful and profoundly sick and detatched way of living.

The scientific evidence is so overwhelming that humans are dramatically changing Earth’s atmospheric chemistry, I find it downright offensive when I hear statements like this.

BGnight must either 1) Have a PhD in atmospheric chemisty and physics and be running ongoing research 2) Somehow be WAY smarter than all the scientists working on these issues, 3) Be a born again religious idiot who believes it’s all in Jesus’s hands and the end of days is near, or 4) Simply be an idiot, period. There is one thing that can be concluded for sure, he or she loves Sarah Palin, and that alone is very sad…

I can’t wait for the split too!
(Although skinning makes me breathe harder which in turn is gonna melt the snow below my feet. OH NOES! What am I to do?! Tax beathing! Yeah, that’s it!)

    I love Jesus šŸ˜€

And that Sarah Palin is sooo hot! How could I not vote for her?

I love the old pre magna traction rossi JJ. Can’t wait to try the magne traction w/ rockered nose. I just split one f the old ones and bought another for the resort. One thing I noticed when monk split it is feels a lot softer than my new one of same model. I think when one cuts a board in half it releases a lot of the board’s stored up snap :(. Hopefully it rides as well as Monk constructed it though :). So, I’ll be superstoked if Jones makes his factory split w/ same specs as his pro model.

Yep, and say what you will about cap construction, I think this is why I’m partial to my mojo-it just seems to have enough snap to work with.

If I get the chance to ride the directional board I’d definitely give it a shot, but they are all twins from my perspective (round nose round tail)…. Just ask Taro
