I too ride with the Oakley Crowbars. They are without a doubt the best goggle I’ve ever worn. I have the fire iridium lens, and so far I’ve rocked it from whiteouts to bluebird days and have been just fine.

The crowbars also vent extremely well; you’ll have to TRY to get these things to fog up, and when you do it dissipates quickly.

The fit is wonderful, peripherals are fantastic, and the build quality is superior.

So yeah, I like my crowbars.

Gotta be Smith. They make great goggles, invented the dual lenses that everyone uses now. They also have a kick ass warranty program.

I’ve got two year old prodigies, lots of choices for replacement lenses as well.

Smith Phenom with sensor mirror lens!! Great for low vis. Scour ebay and you`ll find lots of great deals on last year models. I picked my up for $75.

i generally rock some anon realms and couldn’t be happier with them. fogging is generally only an issue if i’m wearing them while hiking, which is an issue that any goggle will have. the optics seem pretty good and the field of vision is nice and wide.

i was thinking about going with smith for my next pair of goggles, but i used some smith phenoms today and was not impressed at all. they seemed to fog quite easily.

They are light enough for me to do white-outs and night riding. Last year they were easy on my eyes in the bright April-May sun. (After this, I usually use polarized Maui Jim Navigators). The Zeals don’t get as dark as a mirror lens, definitely not a mountaineering grade protection.

Some people (bikers and skiers mostly, afaik) claim the polarized tech reduces glare (= true) so much, that you can’t tell the ice and road slicks, which they claim is more dangerous – because if you could see the high glare, then you can plan / avoid them better. I’ve heard people swearing not to use polarized ever after serious wipe-outs.

Electric EG1S, excellent peripheral and super comfortable….great compatibility with helmets too. Definitely try them on though first, they’re big. Never an issue with fog and lenses are quite a bit cheaper than competitors.

By the way, highly recommend prolens.com for replacement lenses, great selection and prices for goggles that don’t advertise replacement lenses.

I’ve got these, too. My only complaint is that they are a little small for a larger face, but doable.

I have custom Oakley Splice – it took them 3 orders to get it right including once spelling my name wrong, but I do like them. What I like even better is the Rx insert with full field view instead of wearing glasses under which I got from http://www.heavyglare.com I had a close call with some temples on my glasses breaking upon a fall, which could have severely scratched my eye. Fortunately, it just scratched my skin. I am very happy with the whole package now.
