    Hi Guys,

I am looking to purchase a pair of Fitwell Backcountry boots. I live in BC in Canada. Does anyone have any idea where in BC I might be able to try them on?

Alternatively, I wear a US10.5 (Mondo 28.5) regular softboot for snowboarding in resort and a US11.5/12 in regular street/hiking shoes depending on the brand. I have traced both of my feet in a standing position and they measure 29cm at the longest point. Anyone with some experience with these boots able to suggest what sizing would be appropriate?

From what I have read they fit quite snug and most people size up 0.5 – 1 mondo size. I am leaning towards a 295 mondo at the moment but looking for some extra info?

    Hi Dan,

I don’t know anywhere in BC you can buy them. I’d recommend calling Splitboard HQ in Calgary – I’ve found them to be very helpful on splitboarding questions. Alternatively Escape Route in Whistler? They are at least backcountry-focused though I don’t have much experience with them.

I tried on a pair of Fitwell Backcountry that I bought when I was in the UK and found them to be very narrow. I normally wear US 11 (Burton, Salomon) or 11.5 (Thirty Two). I couldn’t get my feet into Fitwells in a 295 and anything wide enough would have been far too long. I ended up returning them.

    Hi Dan,
I write you from Italy and here it is way simpler to find Fitwell boots.
I can tell you that my Burton driver X are size 10.5 US – EU 44. My old vans Danny kass were 10.5 us too.
New balance running shoes US 10 – EU 44.
    Fitwell Backcountry 2018 Mondopoint 290.

Now I ride hardboots, atomic backland Mondopoint 275 (extremely tight , I needed to wear collant-like socks at the beginning).

    Hope this helps mate
