Preserved some of the original set-up, all the functionality, and added a llittle stainless steel. All the main bolts screw into t-nuts and are “mashed” after installation so they cannot back out. A machinist friend of mine did it for me. The pins are attached to the narrow plate with nylon fishing line. Reduced the complete weight by 500g. Now I just need to get splittin’! Might your machinist friend be interested in making another set or two for whatever $ would make it worthwhile? I barely have time to ride this year, even less for tinkering with gear. Did you just use a stainless steel screw and then hammer the end of the screw flat? February 26, 2006 at 2:00 am #587050 SteveP 93 Posts I’m pretty sure my friend would be happy to help you. I don’t know how he removed original hardware but I told him i’d f@%$#% break my leg if he didn’t do a good job – he did a good job 😀 . He’s pro – I trust him. PM me if you’re still interested and I’ll find out what he’d charge. A very minor mod to the plastic puck was required to – to make clearance for some of the t-nuts. February 26, 2006 at 5:43 pm #587052 SteveP 93 Posts Search for K2 Clicker boots and you’ll see them. Unfortunately, I don’t think they are manufactured anymore but you can find quite a few on e-bay.
