Like how deep in the snow should some good crampons go, from underside om board/skis ?

I’m asking because I’m in the making of some, for my Voile DIY board.. and i might made them abit to deep :-!
    About 3″ .. to much 😕 ??
Made them kinda like Voile ones, design wise.

My Sparks are 2″ from the underside of the crampon to the tip of the longest tooth.

Good info. I was going to make a pair for this season but never got to it. I’ll have to this summer before next season.

    Another question:

Most, I believe, mount to your binding. But in climb mode (which is when i would actually need the crampon) the crampon would need to be longer. Anyone have that mounts to the deck? i think I’ve seen some older models that mount to the deck.

Here is how mine turned out.. Not aaaaall done yet tho.. still wanna shave of more weight.. realy wish i hade a cnc machine!!! 😀 but no….. So might pull out the old Dremel tool to finsih them..

They work very well ! These suckers will not bend or anything, for shure !! 😉

I made them to be fixed all the time, but been trying that for a few trips, and works good i think..

Also made som custom, longer pins for the bindings, to make it all work 🙂

    🙂

You’d need something like those bars that are being used on Mr. Chomps:

You could make something out of a bit of hinge material
