Windows pro 7 enterprise with IE (latest version)I cant rate my home use as I have DSL and its slow from the get go January 21, 2015 at 9:17 am #778677 schwalbster 321 PostsI agree with cbalke a 100%. No snow=Slow trafficI believe people are not happy because it seems a lot of functionality has been taken away. As a user interface designer myself you usually want to add functionality or streamline the user experience, not take functionality away without replacing it with something better. I believe all will be good soon. It seems to be more of a resource issue than anything. If it’s all on Chris, but Chris personal life keeps him from working on it, then nothing gets done. Solution would be to get someone else to work on it too. There has to be someone here who is a wordpress geek willing to offer some help, no!? After all the years of creating and maintaining this site we all owe it to Chris to follow his plea for patience here. There is a learning curve too. So far I was able to make it work. On a non forum related note. I think it’s great that there is an increased number of articles on the site. Good job cbalke Strange bug you got there TEX.Plug in I see for recent posts: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress-advanced-recent-topics-widget/After much research, experimentation and consideration, I have decided adulthood is not for me. Thank you for the opportunity. Kinda confused by the guidance that Chris gave Brooks regarding the Word Press forum and creating an account. It sounds like I was one of many that used the “Recent Posts” function in the old forum to streamline the amount of content one needs to shift through each visit. While it’s true not everyone used this approach, and it is indeed not entirely necessary, I can personally say that my time spent on the site has severely dropped off by not having that functionality. Can I make due temporarily without it, sure, would I want to long-term, hell no.Chris, I wish you nothing but the best as you go through this major life transition. While I haven’t had to do it with kids involved, I definitely know a lot of what you’re going through. Lots of strength and patience vibes to you man!165 Venture Divide/Spark Frankenburners/La Sportiva Spantiks 163W Jones Solution/Phantom Alphas/Dynafit TLT5s 162 FurbergChris January 21, 2015 at 9:49 am #778681 schwalbster 321 PostsPlug ins would be installed globally on the forum. No individual installing anything required. Chris was suggesting that we look for plug-ins (or ask word press forum members there) that give this forum the functionality we like to see.For me the recent posts is the most important feature to get back. After much research, experimentation and consideration, I have decided adulthood is not for me.
