From what I could tell, on the old forum the active topic feature was broken. It was supposed to only show topics with 20 or more replies yet it often included topics with only a couple replies, thus not technically “active”. I never found the feature very useful but I can respect if some folks liked it.
Currently there isn’t an out of the box option for this feature but I’ll add it to the list.

Thanks for your patience
The only option I used previously was the ‘view new posts’. It worked great fro me following what had changed in threads, even ones with 1 or 2 new replies. All new responses in one place, now I have to manually work my way though.
Inserting pics…Are we still hosting pics or are they actually being uploaded. Not a computer genius by any means, but it still seems that my attempt to upload a pic only resulted in my hosting it same as pre-new forum. Please advise on the uploading process. Thanks
Muchas Gracias to all of the splitboard.com crew for the hard work on the site and forums. splitboard.com is an invaluable resource to the world’s splitboard community.
Post density is sooooo bad… 1/3 of the screen is the sidebar that I don’t want or need. It’s particularly bad on longer posts and ones with big pictures. I can fit maximum of 4 short posts on my 15″ 1440×900 screen…
Where is the ‘recent posts’ link? I like a quick recap of all the new forum stuff that’s been posted on one page. There is no way I’m clicking through all the sub boards to see the range of recent contributions. Every other message board I use has this feature.
Ha! It is so funny to see all the folks asking for the “view new posts” option. That was the first thing I looked for when the new board came online. I sure hope a similar option will be available soon.
How about the “new posts” function, does that exist in WP?
I just activated an Unread Post plugin. It’s not the New Post feature you’re looking for but thoughts are welcomed anyways. Phpbb3 had a similar feature. It doesn’t seem to have a “mark all as read” option tho and its sorta weak the way the plug-in developer used the same icon from phpbb3.
Whateves let me know what folks think. I’m not super crazy about it but if its helpful we can leave it installed.
