I wish I had met more folks in the area last year. I look forward to meeting some of the people I didn’t get to meet last year, and riding with the ones I did meet. I got the truck ready (even upgraded to velcro curtains), rockboard is geared up, fresh batteries in the beacon, and split is in the shop. I really look forward to the early season campouts, cold mornings, fresh snow, and navigating mine fields for fear of stupid early season injury. Since I’m in Flagstaff it’s really easy for me to be in Wolf Creek Pass, Red Mtn. Pass, or Lizard Head Pass. You Front Ranger’s should break out and ride some of the best terrain CO can offer, the San Juans! September 18, 2006 at 4:38 pm #590372 Killclimbz 1165 Posts I am so down with Wolf Creek Pass. Plans for Thanksgiving are already in the works. Dave, I am planning on doing a little recon in a couple of weeks. At the “not so secret” spot. We should touch base after this weekend and see if we thinkg a recon trip is worth it or not. September 19, 2006 at 7:21 pm #590373 fortysix2 112 Posts I might be down for WC at Thanksgiving if there’s room. I’m bachin’ that whole week..woohoo! Maybe Monarch Pass will have some goods, too. I’m down for scopin stuff out in a couple weeks. I see some folks are already gettin at it. We’ll see what this clipper is going to produce. September 20, 2006 at 5:16 pm #590374 Killclimbz 1165 Posts Sweet. I’ll get in touch with ya next week and we can then talk about WC. I moved to CO late last winter and was scrambling just to get some days in at the resort with the few people I know here. This year I’m committed to getting a buncha BC dayz in so I’m looking forward to meeting you natives/locals to show me the way. Getting in shape for the season lately by riding my mtn bike, anyone in the denver area up for some rides until the snow starts getting deep? I hear 10 inches are falling in the mountains today. October 10, 2006 at 2:44 pm #590380 MykeBurtonS70 59 Posts Snow’s flyin in the mtns. Anyone getting up there this weekend? BIG NEWS – I’ll be parking my motorhome this winter in Breckenridge at http://www.tigerrunresort.com. They have some nice facilities and I can schedule time in the clubhouse for a CO Splitboard GT. There’s a kitchen, pool, bigscreen and tons of room. We could bring maps, laptops, grub, booze and plan some trips and get to know eachother. Whatcha’ll think? October 10, 2006 at 2:51 pm #590381 Killclimbz 1165 Posts Sounds freakin’ sweet to me Myke! It looks like we will be seeking some turns this Saturday. If you can make it shoot me a PM and we will discuss. 8) October 11, 2006 at 2:19 am #590382 mazu 30 Posts Do you still have that old board? You can’t even tell the new missing chunks. I might have some decent time on my hands this winter after december. Should be able to get out during the week quite a bit. October 11, 2006 at 5:01 am #590383 fortysix2 112 Posts Good score Myke. Looking forward to meeting up…hopefully you can get out Saturday! October 11, 2006 at 3:14 pm #590384 Killclimbz 1165 Posts @mazu wrote: Do you still have that old board? I also got a brand new Voile that I will be using once there is a base. Plus I got the “super beater” solid board that I am using right now. If you thought the old splitboard looked bad… October 13, 2006 at 7:27 pm #590385 LBR 116 Posts Sounds cool. I’m down for some Summit Count escapes. I usually stick around the I.P. I am also interested in mt biking, climbing, etc. I have finally recovered from my foot surgery, so I am anxious to get active again. I also moved to Denver (from Boulder) recently. I am interested in meeting more people down here, so I don’t always have to drive!!
