That ever elusive beast that is September pow…
We started off far from his terrain…

But soon we began to see signs,

    success?

    It would seem so.

No riding to be had since I was there to work 🙁
Looking forward to 11/12 trip reports.

not sure the kind of work you do but it sure takes you to nice places. Almost looks rideable with the rock board. where in bc is that?

Whoops I’m no longer in BC, gotta update that. It’s in AK, all the rideable shots are in the Brooks range just North of Atigun pass, which apparently actually doesn’t get very good snow after mid December when the sun dissapears… so it might be good for early season or more likely I just might have happened on a freak storm, I’m not sure. I would guess that there was more than enough in the upper elevations for riding, although conservatively since there are big boulders buried in there.

I’ve only been to AK once in September. I’ve been there in the summer and spring but I think September is my favorite time of year up there. This post made me long for that. ty

He needs a tassle on his horn.

Here is an old TR on a Brooks Range trip from a previous Interior splitter:

Its ridable in the late season, but apparently not as late as June.
