Do you guys think they would be a solid split choice or are they all show? Also, would that lip on the front and heal be enough for semi-auto crampons? http://www.freshnessmag.com/2011/10/24/burton-x-red-wing-rover-limited-boots-available-now/ December 3, 2013 at 5:49 pm #672934 Jefe009 675 Posts@Skijor AK wrote:I was looking at these boots. Look at that sole, looks like zero tread. Also would not recommend trying crampons on these. (For the pons, you want a very stiff sole, these look like they have the opposite.)My :twocents:www.splitlife.net December 3, 2013 at 6:37 pm #672935 grubbers 150 Posts@Skijor AK wrote:Also, would that lip on the front and heal be enough for semi-auto crampons? http://www.freshnessmag.com/2011/10/24/burton-x-red-wing-rover-limited-boots-available-now/ Nope. Good idea to treat the leather with nik wax or similar. ***edit oops I was talking about last years rover. Don’t know about the boots you linked to .
