Just pulled the trigger on a Jones Solution 163 from last season for $400 (!!!!) (Thread link: http://www.evo.com/outlet/snowboards/jones-solution-wide-splitboard-blem-2012.aspx) But anyways, I’ll be working in Texas til mid-December and then it is time to ride. I’ve got a few split friends here in town and we are usually down to get out anytime. So if people want to get together count me in once the snow starts piling up. Look at it today to see the first storm rolling in! Cooke would be a pretty cool spot for a bunch of regional splitters to meet up this winter I think. Tons of terrain and decent options for accommodations. October 25, 2012 at 2:12 am #656757 lifelinksplit 282 Posts Just thought I’d chime in on http://www.beartoothpowder.com. Ben is a really good guy and has put a ton of work into getting the cabin(and yurt) going. From what i hear the yurt is already getting quite a few bookings. i’m hoping to make it to the cabin later this season(maybe spring) depending on availability and cash flow. here’s to hoping for a good and stable winter :headbang: October 25, 2012 at 4:51 pm #656758 nickstayner 700 Posts Yeah, he’s a super cool dude. Run into him a couple times while splitting around Cooke. The Woody Creek and the other cabin are going to be awesome resources. Looks like the Fisher Creek SNOTEL is showing over a foot already! Good crowd, nice vibe Not enough camping footage for my tastes but the locations were cool and it was soooooo damn good to see Terje riding with that crew. -- samh.net October 26, 2012 at 9:59 pm #656761 nickstayner 700 Posts Did a bunch of people show up for it Sam? The whole place wasn’t sold out by any means but I’d say there was around 80 or 90% capacity downstairs at the Emerson. I didn’t take a look to see how full the balcony was. I was pretty pleased with the turnout. -- samh.net October 27, 2012 at 4:17 am #656763 H.R. Flufnstuf 97 Posts @samh wrote: @nickstayner wrote: Did a bunch of people show up for it Sam? I was pretty pleased with the turnout. Someone in the balcony won the Jones splitty they gave away… Nice venue. Stick in the eye for the TGR ski trailer that buffered and failed before the snowboard feature, ha ha. Would have liked to see some Radbots though, those guys rip. PS: Visitor to Bozeman, happened to be in town for the premiere. First time and I’m impressed. Friendly people, beautiful surroundings. Thanks for the good times! That showing was so much fun, and Going Down, by the Radbots was sick. I’d watch that again in a heartbeat. October 29, 2012 at 4:08 pm #656768 nickstayner 700 Posts Anyone gotten out yet? Starting to get pretty psyched. Put together a little photo compilation of a bunch of different southwest Montana areas from various posts on my site if anyone wants to check it out. http://mtsplitski.wordpress.com/2012/10/29/an-ode-to-the-people-and-places-of-winter-201112-greater-yellowstone-ski-stoke-for-the-early-season/ Viewing 20 posts - 21 through 40 (of 181 total) ← 1 2 3 … 10 → You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
