The Baker Splitfest thread seems to be gone? Where did it go?

The database ate a few of it’s own data tables this weekend and we lost a few threads. Please feel free to post it again and I’m sorry for the inconvenience!

Also the link to the posters was deleted too so here it is again: http://TerrySchmidbauer.imagekind.com/Splitfest

I have made both years posters available for purchace. I ordered a 16 x 20 of each year’s posters to donate to the raffle this year and I can attest to the quality of the posters, they are really nice! The raffle items will be signed, framed prints! Imagekind packs up the unframed posters in a heavy cardboard tube so they are flawless when you get them. If anyone wants to buy one before the festival and bring it to the bar, I’ll sign it for them. Otherwise I’ll have some orderforms available if you don’t win the raffle.

I really need to sell some of these so I can pay my bar bill at the festival! I plan to roll up a pretty hefty bar bill buying everyone drinks 🙂

Can you bring a couple up in case I dont win one? either way TEX is hanging at least one of those on the wall at home

Edit to add: are you going to make the band poster avalible also? That would be cool to have to

Yeah, if I can sell a couple of posters online I can just turn that money around and buy some for the fest.

As far as the band poster, I didn’t create that so I don’t have rights to publish it. I’ll suggest it to the guy in the band and he may be able to do something for you.

If anybody would like me to add my signature to their poster, I can do it for 5$ a pop.

I would also like one of the band posters. Can’t wait to hear them play.

    Hungry databases suck

Here’s the lodging info for those last minute planners because it’s up to you where you stay. I think some guys on here had joined forces to rent a place together.

Here is the Mt Baker site list of accommodations http://www.mtbaker.us/1011/travelers/accommodations/. The closest cabins are located in Snowline and Baker Rim. The closest condos: Snowater condos will have at least one bedroom and a full kitchen with access to 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. Snowline Lodge condos are mostly studios with a small kitchen (it’s a converted hotel) but cheaper. All of these are an easy walk/stumble to Chair 9 and a 20 minute drive to Baker. Also check VRBO and Craigslist for Bellingham for more rentals. There are more places to rent near Maple Falls and Deming but require more driving. If you need more ideas let me know.

And I want a band poster too.

Any options to just throw a tent in the Baker parking lot? That band’s poster is sick, put me on the want list.

Anyone got an extra spot in a condo or room available? I’m not having a lot of luck scrounging up a place to stay. Please PM me with any info.

    Thanks.

Monica and I (and maybe a few more Vancouver area folks) are going to be touring Friday and would love to meet up with a group for a Friday outing.

Please keep us posted about any Friday plans you guys come up

    Note to everyone:

Glacier is a hard place to find reasonably cheap accommodation if you’re looking via the commercial interweb. The best thing to do is to get in contact with some locals. I’m working on getting a little cabin rented out for the nights of the 25th and 26th, and there is room to sleep probably 7-8 people. Plus, there’s a hottub and pool there, and its drunk walking distance to Chair 9! Oh, and its cheap…

I also know quite a few people that live in Glacier full time, and would be happy to help organize more couch space if people are interested. Just PM or call me! 425.941.6617

It would be more rad if we could all stay up in the parking lot and have a bondfire, but it looks as if all the festies are happening at Chair 9. At any rate, Glacier is a super rad place to be!

You can’t drink in the parking lot without getting hassled by the man. And I have the feeling if we started a bonfire in the lot, there would be arson charges for somebody.

At least at Chair 9 we don’t have to do our own dishes and the beer is brought to us 😀

You can camp in the upper lot but be aware they run the generator next the maintenance building most of the night and they start running the D8s to clear the parking lot at 6 am. There is the Salmon Ridge snow park that’s just past the DOT center on 542 that you can stay at too. In theory you need a sno-park permit but have heard reports of that not being enforced very often.
