The SoCal Snow Avalanche Center and SoCal NSP are gearing up for this season’s avalanche safety classes. We plan to have Avy Levels 1 & 2 this season. This is southern-most and least expensive avalanche safety course in the northern hemisphere!
Come out to learn! Come out to have fun! Come out to finish the course you started in previous seasons and couldn’t finish— message me about that and I’ll get you squared away.
Our curriculum covers the same material as AAIRE (and then some 😉 but at a fraction the price.

On a personal note, I’m always proud of the splitboard contingent in these classes. We are small in numbers but definitely punch above our weight in intellect, stoke, and steeze . AND due to the overwhelming proportion of the general public pre-registrants (compared to patrollers), we will emphasize more of the backcountry side (decision making, human factors, etc) rather than in-bounds/patrol issues.
    Let’s show those two-plankers what’s up!
