I was looking through the Reno/Tahoe craigslist and saw this ad:
    http://reno.craigslist.org/sls/502180345.html

The company name is Intrinsic Talent LLC, formerly Hottie Rippers LLC. Did not find that much on a google search. The web site looks sleezy:

    What say the gang?

    Cheers, Julia

Escort service, slopeside call girls, for a little extra maybe a happy ending?

That listing and webpage has been making the rounds among my lady guide friends. (The owner of Babes in the Backcountry saw it and was wondering if that was some weird new competitor.) There is a lot of flesh on display on the homepage, can’t wait until the rest of their site is up (kidding!). Their qualifications and business plan appear highly suspect. Don’t they talk about AMGA courses, but then they want pictures of applicants? I bet Steve House gets that all the time too…

Plus, you can’t legally guide on a resort without some sort of agreement and the Tahoe Forest Service is incredibly stringent about bc guiding permits. I can’t imagine Intrinsic whatever snagged a permit.

That said, it is in Nevada…

    wow.

this seems like something that would strictly be on the Nevada side of the lake, if you know what i mean…….. 😯

That’s what I thought too, but, they are pretty specific about what they are looking for.
heres another question. Just how many gals out there have ALL of their quailfications? Wierd.

I bet they don’t respond to my reply.

You guys are all sexist pigs! Just because a woman chooses to ski in a fishnet top doesn’t mean she is not potentially a reputable guide as well! I myself ski in a fishnet top occasionally, though admittedly my boobies aren’t that nice (hehe, i said boobies).

Okay, I’m old. I have been solid boarding for 20 years and have retired once. Now that I’m about to turn 40 and riding with a bunch of young stallions that work with my wife they are amazed that geritol keeps me going. Well those young 20 something guys rode with me once and realized that the old dude can shred, knows and studies the terrain where I spend my time and gets every turn out of the terrain and snow available. Now they also know that my wife also snowboards, and she boards better than they do too. She is also about to turn 40, but when she goes out it never fails to amaze me how smooth she rides.

Now all those young guys idoloize me, old, shredder and married to a shredder too. They want what I have, a lifelong riding partner to spend the rest of their lives with. I should hook my wife up with this guide service and see if the young girls can hang, or if it is just a group designed mostly for the apres snow activities.

Anyway, the photos don’t impress, the impression will be in the guide and the ride. That is the snow ride.

mumbles, you’ve got to kidding us, right? sheeet dude, I just turned 47 and started a new, very demanding career that could get me killed at any moment. Give us a break. Stop whining about being “old” fer chrisakes until your well into your 70’s! Sounds like your too big a weenie to ride BC to me.
    (Look at J&B Z)
    Ask nothingmuch, he’ll tell ya……………

back to the topic, I just turned them into the Tahoe and Sierra NF, if they have a permit to operate it would be a miracle.

Even when he is gasping for air, not because it is thin but because he is fat and out of shape, the guy never shuts the hell up. Sometimes that guy talking to himself all the time is a real jack ass. Solitude does something to your head.

    Mtngoddess,
Prior to my children’s arrival I did my BC advernturing with my wife mostly accessing via snowshoes. I’m excited about the split option. I might be too big a puss to ride BC, but I don’t think so. I just have been very inactive as I finished my first career and now have begun my second. My job is safe but dynamic and I now have a job where I set the hours, love to go to work and have found what they always talk about. You know, it does not feel like work becasue I would do it for nothing, but they pay me. In time as I get out more and more with my greater flexibility I will get back some fitness level and be back to my old self. Oh, the people who call me old are a bunch of solid boarding 20 somethings that could not hang with me at Baker on opening day. They were all toast by 2 and I traded my solid for split and did some fitness skinning.

So, are you buying out the mountian escort guide service, if you love the BC it could be the job you would do for free…but get paid.

mtngoddess, what kind of large captive animal family do you tend to and where? Unless you are wearing the Lola fruit basket on your head, or a bunch of lettuce you should be safe, right? Anyway, any reason to do something fun is reason enough to do it.

News report says a dusting of snow…what can I cancel tomorrow?
